As soon as the new crop of congress persons are flown over by Israel to kiss the wall, they will win the Golden Yamaka award and become 'chosen ones'. And all will be right in the world (for Israel). Amen
Nope. Not this time.
We're down to Operation Phoenix, World Wide. Which signaled the End of Vietnam, and NOW the End of the War of 9/11.
"The new DIA agents will also take a specialisation course directed by the Commander of Special Operations. Apart from training recruits to eliminate the enemy, he also teaches "non-conventional warfare" to be conducted by exterior forces who are specially trained for this purpose; "counter-insurrection", to help allied governments to repress rebellion; and "psychological operations" intended to influence public opinion so that the population comes to support US military action.
Once their training is complete, these new DIA agents, about 1,600 at first, will be assigned by the Pentagon to missions all over the world. "
O Goody.
" But a Marine official here raised questions about whether the children were innocent. Before calling for the M142 High Mobility Artillery Rocket System mission in mid-October, Marines observed the children digging a hole in a dirt road in Nawa district, the official said, and the Taliban may have recruited the children to carry out the mission.
Shockingly, the article quotes a senior officer saying that the military isnt just out to bomb military age males, anymore, but kids, too:
It kind of opens our aperture, said Army Lt. Col. Marion Ced Carrington, whose unit, 1st Battalion, 508th Parachute Infantry Regiment, was assisting the Afghan police. In addition to looking for military-age males, its looking for children with potential hostile intent.
Prozac: Warning Labels and Side Effects Moira Dolan, M.D., Medical Accountability Network.
Hi, Im Dr. Moira Dolan, internal medical physician with the Medical Accountability Network. A lot of people have been asking, What is the connection between violence, suicide and homicide and antidepressant medications?
Lets take a look at this. There are numerous examples of people who have gone off on a shooting rampage and killed their classmates, their co-workers, members of their family and often took their own lives, then it was shortly discovered that they were taking an antidepressant. The apparency is that the person was mentally ill and went on a rage but when these cases have actually been looked at closer, what we find is that the person did not have any violent tendencies and in most cases was not even suicidal before they started treatment with their antidepressant medication.
[M]any Americans hurl themselves with fundamentally false, deeply disturbed enthusiasm into public demonstrations of grief over the needless deaths of some human beings -- those human beings they see as being much like themselves, when the deaths happen in what could be their own neighborhood. As for all the murders committed by their government with a systematic dedication as insane as that of any serial killer: silence.
The fundamentally unjustified and highly selective focus -- on feel-good stories on one hand, and on only narrowly delimited evils on the other -- always seeks to achieve a whitewash of this kind: it attempts to obliterate the reality of the obviously related, but unacknowledged greater evils in the broader system. In this sense, all such efforts are cover-ups, they are intellectually dishonest, and they are always lies.
If you have a culture that celebrates killing brownish Middle Easterners, and a culture which celebrates Islamophobia (all encouraged by Jewish-billionaire-financed lobby groups and think tanks, and, of course, the Jew-owned Entertainment Industrial Complex), and a culture where the ultimate life goal for many young men is to be a commando conducting mass murder behind enemy lines while thinking that all Americans are currently living behind enemy lines (so 'double-tapping' school children is just part of the campaign), the series of American mass civilian murders is inevitable. But you won't see anybody, particularly anybody on the 'left', even daring to mention the real problem (the hero of the 'left' is Susan Rice, leader of the Progressives for Civilian Carpet Bombing, with 'Responsibility to Protect' being the latest version of the White Man's Burden excuses for the violence of imperialism). The issues raised are just too challenging to the power structure. It is easier to try to ban a few of the most ridiculous guns, and whine about video games.
Monday, 03 Safar 1434 Monday, 17 December 2012 17:00 KABUL, Dec. 17
Atiqullah, a 23-year old Mujahid coming from Paktia province, Monday at about 11 a.m. local time carried out a martyr attack on the US invading forces military company based in the heart of Kabul city, the capital of the country where more than 300 military troops are active. The brave Mujahid slammed his vehicle filled with some 2500 pounds explosives into the facility, leaving it heavily damaged while killing and wounding more than 150 foreign and locals working in the company.
Students with mental and physical disabilities are also punished at disproportionate rates, with potentially serious consequences for their development. In Texas, for instance, 18.4 percent of the total number of students who were physically punished were special education students, even though they make up only 10.7 percent of the student population.
What will everyone do for work when everything is automated? They'll take care of old people and sick people, because people would rather interact with human beings if possible. How will we afford all this caretaking for the elderly? Because there will be so much automation that we'll enjoy lives of material plenty even with very little human work.
Kevin Drum calls this "our bed pan and canasta future." Russ Douthat at the New York Times comments, "video games in the morning, changing strangers' bedpans
"This comment seems to get it:
People will just get used to it over time, just as all the former union guys who were shocked by post union work rules and right to work laws had to get used to having less power and control over their working lives and declining wages while their pensions could be taken on a whim by management and disappeared (while executive pay and benefits went through the roof). Today's generation of children are used to being spied on, treated like sheep in schools, abused by police and authorities, disrespected by adults and feared by fellow potential employees who don't have the computer skills they do.
To paraphrase a line from Eastern Europe: the economy is not working for the American people, therefore we must reinvent the people."
THIS IS.....;}
4) The increase in mental illness and medication is in large part because life in America is extraordinarily unpleasant.
You live in a militarized surveillance society with no guaranteed health care and with a job market that doesnt provide enough jobs for those who need it, allowing bosses to treat those who do have jobs like shit, and executives to take virtually all productivity gains for themselves.
Let's see...the U.S. has troops in 140 countries, two ongoing military blunders, a $700 billion dollar military budget - greater than all other nations combined, more guns per capita than any other country in the world, a mentally unstable population overdosed on junk food and junk culture, PTSD veterans who are homeless but happen to be very proficient with machine guns, roughly several hundred thousand fully automatic weapons floating around in god knows whose hands, the most paranoid anti-government demented hillbillies you will ever meet, and now an economy teetering on depression with a middle class income already falling into the abyss. You don't have to be a fucking genius to see where all of this is heading
We JUST had an election where the public (not to mention Every. Single. Poll.) overwhelmingly said no cuts to Social Security or Medicare, and raise taxes on income over $250K. That ought to mean something. But the "word" out of DC is that a deal is underway that cuts the Social Security COLA and increases the income level subject to a higher tax from $250K to $400K.
Senators and Representatives who are thinking of touching the "third rail:" How many constituents are calling your office today to say, "Yes, I want you to cut the Social Security COLA"?
We JUST had an election where the public (not to mention Every. Single. Poll.) overwhelmingly said no cuts to Social Security or Medicare, and raise taxes on income over $250K.
You said Obama stole the election. Make up your mind.

There are three principal factors that control a net export decline: (1) Consumption as a percentage of production at a production peak (C/P); (2) Rate of change in production and (3) Rate of change in consumption. We constructed a simple model, for a hypothetical exporting country called Export Land, to illustrate how these factors interact to control the resulting net export decline.
Actions, Not Words: For four years and counting, Obama has worked to find a way to make premature and unnecessary cuts in Social Security and Medicare. Don't look at his words, he's a politician. Look at what he's done, especially the repeated and unnecessary concessions to the Republicans. It's not about the deficit, at least the chained-CPI COLA planned for Social Security, because the program is not a part of the deficit. So there must be some other explanation.

I can't BELIEVE it... you actually got something right.
Speaking Up: Boehner's inability to muster a passing vote in a House his party controls raises the question of how much of the House he speaks for and whether he'll be Speaker come January. To win the job he'll need an absolute majority of the House. He doesn't have one now. Now if we could get Obama to stop negotiating with himself...
The Brotherhood of the Flagellants: With no coherent threat of scourging from the right, House Democrats are working on a plan that would cut Social Security benefits, plus reduce the benefits of about 50 other federal programs that are keyed to cost of living adjustments.
No, thank YOU. I enjoy shitting on you, and your idiocy.
The only thing that would make it better, would be pissing on your lifeless face. And as you fucking socialists keep pushing your bullshit, the odds of that get better and better.
In a way, oil extraction is a big chemical reaction where oil and oxygen are the reactants and human beings are the catalyst. It is impressive that these models work so well in some historical cases - not all cases, of course: the world's economy is a complicated system. But the fact that it is a complicated system doesn't mean that it doesn't obey the laws of physics. When there are no more reactants, the reaction must end.

3. Oil: the present situation
So much for the so called "Hubbert model". It is an interesting model, but you have to remember that models are always approximations of reality. This is valid in chemistry just as well as in oil production. So, let's go see some data about the real world, here, for instance this one (taken from Wikipedia):

Note also that the high cost of extraction is not the only problem. As more effort is made to extract from expensive resources, we see that we produce more CO2 for the same amounts of energy generated. And this has an impact on climate. Even here in Russia. Let me just show to you the fires in East Siberia of this year - one of the consequences of climate change.

Nuclear plants or renewable energy, possibly both things, but it is essential that we develop and install new forms of energy in the future.
This is the crucial point and the big challenge we face. Either we succeed in developing and using these new methods, or we'll have big, big troubles. And, as you saw, catalysis is a fundamental factor in these new perspectives. It is fascinating field to work in. It has always been one and now it is even more so!
And so the takeaway:
We can continue with fossil fuel liquids, but we'll need to convert CO2 to CO to oil.
And to do that, get some Nukes/Wind/New Planet....and we're Good to Go....
Treasury Secretary Paulson shoved bailouts down Congress throat by threatening martial law if the bailouts werent passed. And the bailouts are now perpetual.

Martyr attack US invaders airbase; more 100 killed Zabihullah Mujahid E-mail Print PDF Wednesday, 12 Safar 1434 Wednesday, 26 December 2012 13:31
KHOST, Dec. 26 Wednesday, December 26, 2012, at 8:00 a.m. local time, a brave martyrdom-seeking Mujahid of the Islamic Emirate conducted a martyr attack on the US major military airbase in the capital of Khost province by slamming his explosive-filled truck at the gate of the airfield, killing as many as 100 foreign invaders and local puppets of the occupation forces and wounding several dozens more, Mujahideen official said.
Wednesdays successful attack was carried out by a Mujahid Omar when the US soldiers were trying to frisk a large number of the puppets and other people who try to enter the base and severe American terrorist forces at the expense of selling out their country.
More than 250 puppets were said to be at the gate when the attack occurred, slamming the gate of airbase where a C.I.A office is based which is also said to be badly damaged.
Meantime, the attack site was cordoned off, blocking all the roads and several ambulance helicopters landed in the base to evacuate the dead and wounded.

Facebook Suspends Account For Questioning Official Narrative on Shooting
On Saturday, Connecticut state police warned that people posting misinformation on social media websites would be investigated and prosecuted.
However, this threat could apply to the vast majority of the mainstream media, who in their haste to get out ahead of the story reported numerous details that soon turned out to be completely incorrect.
- It was initially reported that Adam Lanzas mother, the first victim of the rampage, was a teacher at the school, which was not true.
- It was initially reported that Lanza had also killed his father, which was not true.
- It was initially reported that the culprit behind the massacre was Ryan Lanza, Adam Lanzas brother, which was not true.
- Initial reports that a second gunman arrested in the woods behind the school was involved in the massacre were later dropped without explanation.
Given that most of the misinformation about the shooting came from corporate media sources, the fact that Facebook is punishing users for asking questions about the proper sequence of events essentially labeling such activity a thought crime is a worrying development.

Russia says its stance toward Syria has not changed, denying the existence of any plan with the US that would see Syrian President Bashar al-Assad out of power in 2014.
The planes had the call signs "Bobcat 14" and "Bobcat 17." A partial transcript of air traffic controller communications reveals they were communicating with the control tower at Washington's Reagan National Airport, which is less than a mile from the Pentagon, between at least 9:31 a.m. and 9:40 a.m. on September 11. [1] (The attack on the Pentagon took place at 9:37 a.m. [2]) Radar data has shown that the two aircraft flew "in trail" (in single file, with one directly behind the other) at an altitude of 21,000 feet, and were overhead in the few minutes before the Pentagon was hit. [3]
LAUNCHED FROM DOVER AIR BASE It would seem essential to establish the exact identities of these aircraft and find out what they were doing in the vicinity of the Pentagon at such a critical time. Yet, eight years after the attacks took place, we still do not have this information. (The fact that these aircraft were near the Pentagon at the time it was hit is itself virtually unknown.)

Fiscal Cliff gone over.
Note: I wrote the following after watching the Prez on TV. His smiling demeanor and tough guy talk led me to believe that a "patch" on the cliff might happen. Four hours later, and that is not the case. The House will not vote on anything today.
There is a chance that the House could vote tomorrow. This would bring results along the lines I describe below. But if the House does not vote, then it means there will be a long fight. A fight that could go on until the debt limit shuts the government.
