But "science" has become so politicized that you really have to take all their assertions with a grain of salt. CO2 is an easy target, but doesn't hold-up to logic. The biosphere is essentially a global engine that maintains a CO2/O2 balance. Puny naked apes might be able to make that pendulum swing a little farther than it would have without them, but it's really kind of hubris to think that we could 'break' the system by feeding it a little more fuel than it would have had otherwise. This is wrong. CO2 = HEAT At 400 ppm you can accurately say that 2 C over the 1760 Baseline has been reached. And burning 1.2 Trillion BBLs and putting that into the atmosphere will do the trick.
