The USSA 'branch' is the tree trunk.... :? 8-)

The periphery crumbles. See the USSR for details.....

Sep 2009:

“Instead Leon Panetta, the director of the CIA, presented a list of clandestine counterterrorism operations that the CIA wanted to conduct in Pakistan, such as stepping up drone attacks, raising the number of CIA agents and covert contractors, and even setting up a parallel intelligence organisation that would be hidden from the ISI,” Rashid said.

“The CIA’s recommendations were accepted, but they soon led to a complete breakdown of relations with Pakistan.”

Rashid writes that both the Pakistani and the Afghan governments resented the fact that a major US escalation of troops was being undertaken without consulting them or soliciting their views.

By Mansoor Ijaz

Early on May 9, a week after US Special Forces stormed the hideout of Osama bin Laden and killed him, a senior Pakistani diplomat telephoned me with an urgent request. Asif Ali Zardari, Pakistan’s president, needed to communicate a message to White House national security officials that would bypass Pakistan’s military and intelligence channels. The embarrassment of bin Laden being found on Pakistani soil had humiliated Mr Zardari’s weak civilian government to such an extent that the president feared a military takeover was imminent. He needed an American fist on his army chief’s desk to end any misguided notions of a coup – and fast. Gen Ashfaq Kayani, the army chief, and his troops were demoralised by the embarrassing ease with which US special forces had violated Pakistani sovereignty. Inter-Services Intelligence, Pakistan’s feared spy service, was charged by virtually the entire international community with complicity in hiding bin Laden for almost six years. Both camps were looking for a scapegoat; Mr Zardari was their most convenient target. The diplomat made clear that the civilian government’s preferred channel to receive Mr Zardari’s message was Admiral Mike Mullen, chairman of the US joint chiefs of staff. He was a time-tested friend of Pakistan and could convey the necessary message with force not only to President Barack Obama, but also to Gen Kayani. In a flurry of phone calls and emails over two days a memorandum was crafted that included a critical offer from the Pakistani president to the Obama administration:

“The new national security team will eliminate Section S of the ISI charged with maintaining relations to the Taliban, Haqqani network, etc. This will dramatically improve relations with Afghanistan.”

The memo was delivered to Admiral Mullen at 14.00 hours on May 10. A meeting between him and Pakistani national security officials took place the next day at the White House. Pakistan’s military and intelligence chiefs, it seems, neither heeded the warning, nor acted on the admiral’s advice. On September 22, in his farewell testimony to the Senate armed services committee, Admiral Mullen said he had “credible intelligence” that a bombing on September 11 that wounded 77 US and Nato troops and an attack on the US embassy in Kabul on September 13 were done “with ISI support.”

Essentially he was indicting Pakistan’s intelligence services for carrying out a covert war against the US – perhaps in retaliation for the raid on bin Laden’s compound, perhaps out of strategic national interest to put Taliban forces back in power in Afghanistan so that Pakistan would once again have the “strategic depth” its paranoid security policies against India always envisioned.

BRIEFING FOR ADM. MIKE MULLEN, CHAIRMAN, JOINT CHIEFS OF STAFF

During the past 72 hours since a meeting was held between the president, the prime minister and the chief of army staff, there has seen a significant deterioration in Pakistan’s political atmosphere. Increasingly desperate efforts by the various agencies and factions within the government to find a home – ISI and/or Army, or the civilian government – for assigning blame over the UBL raid now dominate the tug of war between military and civilian sectors. Subsequent tit-for-tat reactions, including outing of the CIA station chief’s name in Islamabad by ISI officials, demonstrates a dangerous devolution of the ground situation in Islamabad where no central control appears to be in place.

Pakistan: 24 dead in NATO helicopter attack

(AP)

Last Updated 4:22 p.m. ET

PESHAWAR, Pakistan - Pakistan on Saturday accused NATO helicopters of firing on two army checkpoints in the country's northwest and killing 24 soldiers, then retaliated by closing the border crossings used by the coalition to supply its troops in neighboring Afghanistan.

(The death toll was previously reported as 26.)

The incident Friday night was a major blow to already strained relations between Islamabad and U.S.-led forces fighting in Afghanistan. It will add to perceptions in Pakistan that the American presence in the region is malevolent, and to resentment toward the weak government in Islamabad for its cooperation with Washington.

And then we were at war with Pakistan.

As this is happening domestically:

When the entire economy is banditry, where are the limits, or are there any?

Banks are failing, to be bailed out by nations needing bailouts themselves: both nations and finance are insolvent. Creditors demand citizens take losses in creditors’ place. This strategy fails as citizens lack the means to absorb any more losses. Creditors’ positions are too large to be liquidated without effecting markets in a vicious cycle, some creditors are being wiped out. The efforts of central banks to date have kept pace with speculator redemptions which have prevented markets from crashing. These efforts succeed to the extent that speculators do not rush the exits at once.

When creditors take losses the real panic begins: it is every creditor for himself. Nobody cares when ordinary citizens lose everything and wind up on the streets, the elites losing fortunes is too much to bear.

062112 started it.

The week after July 4 will see momentum pick up.

FWIW, Dawg, I agree with you a large majority of the time. You often make great points. I just think you'd be far more effective with a few less necessary "colorful embellishments". You know what I mean.

Yeah I do know.

But, I DESPISE people who cannot see past vocabulary into CONTENT.

Like when US FORCES JAPAN secured us from wearing tank tops on liberty in Japan "because American's body hair offended Japanese sensibilities", one of my shipmates asked if maybe we shouldn't get liberty at all since the Japanese were likely more offended by us blowing the shit out of any commie that we could target when we were on the line?

I'm NOT trying to convince anybody of anything.

Good way to quick check the USSA's position Worldwide.

Look to the column on the right............................>

No news on the Foreign Front, Bad sign for the USSA's Top .1%.

;}

The crisis in Europe is clearly beyond anything that this generation of establishment leaders has ever seen. The last time that anything like this faced the European establishment, it led to World War II. During the entire postwar period, the United States has been the dominant force in the West. The United States government through the Marshall Plan wrote the checks to keep the European governments afloat, and it funded most of NATO, the mutual defense system that was set up to constrain the expansion of the Soviet Union.

The United States is no longer in a position to bail out anybody. It is running a massive trade deficit, and is running a massive federal deficit. Europe realizes now that, from an economic standpoint, it is on its own. If there are solutions to the European economic crisis, these solutions are going to have to be generated inside the eurozone.

As we always stress, the losses of the banks are a moving target. It may be possible to ascertain their upper boundary to a reasonable degree of certainty, and in Spain's case it is no doubt significantly above this latest guess.

What we do know for sure is that euro area-wide bank borrowings from the ECB have just hit another new all time high:

Banks At Risk: Today, the entire banking system of Europe is at risk. The banks are highly leveraged, and they have made enormous investments at low-interest rates in bonds issued by governments that are technically insolvent. There is no possibility that any of these bonds will ever be repaid. They were never designed to be repaid. They were designed to keep the taxpayers of all European countries in permanent bondage to the banking system.

Just like the USSA's other Slave States.

WELCOME to the Club, Europe!.......

To Jimmy: We all realize it's Satan's World - it's no newsflash for us. The Bible reminds us of this mortal condition. Meanwhile, you're just another of Satan's tools, sucking in all his lies and spreading HIS "gospel" of Hopelessness.

TO WHAT END do you perform your public service?? This world can NEVER be paradise. It will NEVER be "fair". Why not? Because Sin infects man's life. ALL of ours - and that includes mine, Dawg's, and Red's. The ONLY Redemption for even one puny sin is the Blood of Christ and His grace and mercy.

John 3:16 - "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life"....

John 3:17 - "For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved." ~ King James Version (KJV)

There it is: Even Jesus admits HE doesn't condemn us; WE condemn *ourselves* come Judgment Day. Will you be ready to face your Maker?

Will your name be in the Book of Life? If you don't wise up soon, the "hell" on this earth you whine on about HERE will be your fate...*forever*. But only far worse. I don't wish that on anyone.

Any real wisdom you possess and hope for the salvation you crave will begin with faith of the grain of a Mustard Seed. PLANT IT. Today. Tomorrow.

But for a few years will you live in this world; The next is....Forever.

America is caught in a confidence or credibility trap, in which the changes, investigations, and reforms necessary to restore trust to an economy or market are rendered unlikely because doing so would expose a pervasive corruption that the principals fear would destroy any remaining trust. It could also endanger the careers of politicians and business people who may have permitted and even appeared to facilitate the control fraud that caused the financial crisis in the first place. Personal risk trumps public stewardship. The fraudulent activity is covered up and therefore continues or at the very least appears to continue....

NY Times A Loophole Big Enough To Lose a Billion By James B. Stewart 24 June 2012 If nothing else, the collapse of MF Global has made one thing clear: The notion that customer assets were safe was a sham. MF Global’s customers, who discovered that the firm had plundered $1.6 billion of their property, learned that the hard way. But they aren’t the only potential victims. The loophole that allowed MF Global to convert more than $1 billion in customer property to its own reckless bet on European debt is still in effect — although the Commodity Futures Trading Commission, which regulates futures and commodities brokers, said it had since pressured other firms to stop using it.

Zerohedge, one of our favorite financial sites, because the proprietors are wired to the real insiders. They excerpted a piece by legendary investor and Goldman alum, Raoul Pal. He explains that at best there’s six more months to go before the global financial reset takes place. He details the end of fractional reserve banking as we know it. There’s no avoiding the ultimate crash because $70 trillion of Western Sovereign Debt is holding up over $700 trillion worth of derivatives. No wonder he likens all this to the eye of a hurricane, from which we are just emerging. We’re not talking about any ordinary hurricane, like Katrina which was a category 4-5. Rather, we’re talking about a category 10 storm that will leave no financial edifice standing in its path. But gold and silver will help get us through, and this nuclear economic winter will pass.

And here:

But gold and silver will help get us through, and this nuclear economic winter will pass.

is what will turn 062112 In To TEOTWAKI:

ZH and like minded Gold Bugs keep thinking that Precious Metals are going to hold and rise to (pick a number).

And THAT's impossible as long as the USSA exists.

Silver now at $26+ and people are STILL loading up.

At some point they'll be forced to liquidate...at say.... $10 the oz.

2. Industrial civilizations are not going to go out of business because oil is very expensive during the boom times and pricey (but not exorbitantly expensive) during the lulls. Peak oil acts more like a brake (one of many) on global economic growth when times are good.

As Economic-Undertow writes, There is not a 'vacuum of activity' in the world while the USSA adjust to the volatility in price/demand.

I don't worry much about the disasters I write about. The writing is on the wall as far as I'm concerned. But if I were to worry about all these human disasters, where would I rank the threat of peak oil? I don't know. It's certainly a concern, and I do write about it, but I write about lots of stuff. Certainly the longer term is fraught with difficulty if humans are depending on crude oil to fuel economic growth in the 21st century as it did in the 20th.

fraught with difficulty

Here's 'fraught'....

"The new Greek Prime Minister had an eye surgery and cannot attend the EU summit meeting. The new Greek Finance Minister became ill and cannot attend the EU summit meeting. Both a tragic turns of events; we are sure. Both coincidental you may think; but not us. Perhaps upon ascending to power and examining the books they have found that everything was not exactly, how shall we say this; Kosher comes to mind. Perhaps the records indicated a far more serious excursion from the facts than previously thought. "

Waiting for the 'pilots' condition.

See F 4 Phantoms Drone targets for details.
They Shoot Airplanes, Don’t They?

Under United States law (Title 10, Section 2366 of the U.S. Code) a missile system must undergo lethality testing before it can enter full-scale production. This means it must be fired at a combat-configured target, which for air-to-air or surface-to-air missiles is a full-size, fully capable aircraft. The cost and hazards of using a manned aircraft from the active-duty inventory for this purpose are obvious. Instead, the target is an unmanned FSAT drone. As one 82 ATRS pilot summarizes it, "the F-4 is dying, to give birth to new weapons systems."

In support of U.S. test and evaluation activities, Phantom drones also act as targets for non-lethal tests of missiles, radar and other sensors, and defensive systems. They also support Air Force and Navy training, such as "Combat Archer" missile shoots.

Both services also employ sub-scale target drones, which are less costly to operate than FSATs. But only a full-scale target offers the flight characteristics, performance envelope – including subsonic and supersonic flight at altitudes up to and above 50,000 feet – endurance, radar and infrared (IR) signatures, and damage resistance of a real aircraft.

QF-4s are almost always flown with a pilot aboard, unless a weapons launch will occur. Usually he does not touch the controls but stands ready to take over if ground control is lost or the aircraft departs. The pilots fly the aircraft themselves on chase missions and to maintain proficiency.

The aircraft are controlled remotely by the Gulf Range Drone Control System (GRDCS) at Tyndall or the Drone Formation Control System (DFCS) at WSMR. Drone controllers have a flight instrument display on a monitor, but no direct visual contact with the aircraft. A controller may fly, using a joystick and keyboard instead of stick, throttles, and rudder pedals; however, most test and evaluation flights are steered by computer. This allows a test to be flown within exact parameters and repeated exactly if necessary. Up to six QF-4 aircraft can be controlled in formation, using GPS to maintain each in position relative to the flight track.
Interesting, you could be correct. However, what is more dangerous is knowing and rejection. So we know rejection leads to destruction.

Yes, congrats you have your own thread. It is all to yourself and you set the agenda and tone. Quite masterful of Stone to give you this padded room all to yourself. Now be nice or your visitations will decline. We can go elsewhere.

Must be a Record Hot where you are today....;}

It only gets hotter from here.....

But even the mainstream media know a 4 C increase spells the end of the line for our species. Giving the response I’ve come to expect from politicians, the Obama administration calls any attempt to reduce emissions “not grounded in political reality.”

Have you noticed a set of patterns? Each assessment is quickly eclipsed by another, fundamentally more dire set of scenarios. Every scenario is far too optimistic because each is based on conservative approaches to scenario development.

And every bit of dire news is met by the same political response. Is there any doubt we will try to kill every species on the planet, including our own, by the middle of this century?

At this point, it is absolutely necessary, but probably not sufficient, to bring down the industrial economy. It’s no longer merely the lives of your grandchildren we’re talking about. Depending on your age, it’s the lives of your children or you. If you’re 60 or younger, it’s you.

Debby is definitely compressing the air in the Middle USSA.

110 degrees in the Arkansas River Valley is NOT normal..... :? 8-)

The First D storm in June in History.

We know Earth’s temperature is nearly one degree Centigrade higher than it was at the beginning of the industrial revolution. And 1 C is catastrophic, as indicated by a decades-old cover-up. Already, we’ve triggered several positive feedbacks, none of which were expected to occur by mainstream scientists until we reached 2 C above baseline global average temperature.

We also know that the situation is far worse than indicated by recent data and models (which are reviewed in the following paragraphs). We’ve known for more than a decade what happens when the planes stop flying: Because particulates were removed when airplanes were grounded, Earth warmed by more than 1 C in the three days following 11 September 2001. In other words, Earth’s temperature is already about 2 C higher than the industrial-revolution baseline. And because of positive feedbacks, 2 C leads directly and rapidly to 6 C, acidification-induced death of the world’s oceans, and the near-term demise of Homo sapiens.

Hosea 4 King James Version (KJV)

4 Hear the word of the Lord, ye children of Israel: for the Lord hath a controversy with the inhabitants of the land, because there is no truth, nor mercy, nor knowledge of God in the land.

2 By swearing, and lying, and killing, and stealing, and committing adultery, they break out, and blood toucheth blood.

3 Therefore shall the land mourn, and every one that dwelleth therein shall languish, with the beasts of the field, and with the fowls of heaven; yea, the fishes of the sea also shall be taken away.

4 Yet let no man strive, nor reprove another: for thy people are as they that strive with the priest.

5 Therefore shalt thou fall in the day, and the prophet also shall fall with thee in the night, and I will destroy thy mother.

6 My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children.

7 As they were increased, so they sinned against me: therefore will I change their glory into shame.

8 They eat up the sin of my people, and they set their heart on their iniquity.

9 And there shall be, like people, like priest: and I will punish them for their ways, and reward them their doings.

10 For they shall eat, and not have enough: they shall commit whoredom, and shall not increase: because they have left off to take heed to the Lord.

11 Whoredom and wine and new wine take away the heart.

12 My people ask counsel at their stocks, and their staff declareth unto them: for the spirit of whoredoms hath caused them to err, and they have gone a whoring from under their God.

13 They sacrifice upon the tops of the mountains, and burn incense upon the hills, under oaks and poplars and elms, because the shadow thereof is good: therefore your daughters shall commit whoredom, and your spouses shall commit adultery.

14 I will not punish your daughters when they commit whoredom, nor your spouses when they commit adultery: for themselves are separated with whores, and they sacrifice with harlots: therefore the people that doth not understand shall fall.

15 Though thou, Israel, play the harlot, yet let not Judah offend; and come not ye unto Gilgal, neither go ye up to Bethaven, nor swear, The Lord liveth.

16 For Israel slideth back as a backsliding heifer: now the Lord will feed them as a lamb in a large place.

17 Ephraim is joined to idols: let him alone.

18 Their drink is sour: they have committed whoredom continually: her rulers with shame do love, Give ye.

19 The wind hath bound her up in her wings, and they shall be ashamed because of their sacrifices.

I figured you would know given you are a self proclaimed 'man of international intrigue.'

However, if you must know, the Turks still use the very good airframe for recon missions and electronic warfare purposes.
