As posted above: Source RLH: The drought from 1995-1997 was worse than the current drought. I know because I was here in both periods, then and now. Things are better this year than last year. Last year in Central Texas the Spring rains stopped in late March and we did not see a heavy rain until around Christmas. This year the Spring rains and thunderstorms continued through last week. Big difference. This time last year the temps were hanging around 105 and now they are hanging around 95. Last year my team had no rainout games and this year there were two. Considering we had games once or twice a week, that makes a big difference. So there you have it, straight from the source.
