On Friday’s “Special Report” on the Fox News Channel, Washington Post columnist Charles Krauthammer doubled-down on an assertion he made last week about the inevitability of an Israeli strike on Iran to limit their nuclear capabilities. Krauthammer referred to a David Ignatius Washington Post column, which indicated generally when Defense Secretary Leon Panetta thought such an attack might happen. “Our own secretary of Defense has said it’s highly likely and he gave a timeframe — April, May, June, which means the Israelis think that the moment, the zone of immunity where they can no longer attack successfully is approaching,” Krauthammer said. “I think he is right. I think the Israelis are serious unless happens between now and midyear or even November that will threaten the regime, because it won’t change the policy. I think Israel will strike because it cannot live under the threat of annihilation from Iran.” But this time, Krauthammer had some strong words on why he thought this attack was likely. “Unless something intervenes,” Krauthammer replied. “I cannot imagine the Israelis are going to allow Iran to go nuclear and to hold the Damocles sword over 6 million Jews all over again. No muslim state should have nukes. I understand Israel and their justified fear. They have every right to end Iran's nuke program. Iran has repeatedly threatened to wipe them off the map.
No nation should have nuclear weapons. The tools of war have outstripped the ability of current human culture on the whole, or possibly the existance of the species to survive an unchecked use of them in a global war. They should be made illegal by international law, and no nation should be tolerated as having them, including this country.

But they do exist and that isn't changing. Take your international law and shove it up your ass. We are a constitutional Republic and international law is incompatible with our system save treaties with other nations. They shouldn't be made illegal under any scheme. We would be fools to get rid of them as other nations wouldn't and we would be at their mercy. There are no adequate safeguards humanly possible to make sure other nations would not develop their own nukes. So a strong nuclear deterrent is in our best interests.
You can always count on a reasoned post getting you horny enough to worry about anal sex. International law is something that will never not exist. Be it in t5he form of treaties or conventions, or any other way nations set standard of conduct between themselves. Without them, we could not have prosecuted the German Nazis for the crimes against Jewish and other peoples, our POWs held by them would have gotten no Red Cross boxes and would have starved and suffered forced labor like what the German Nazis did to Russian POWs that did not fall under the auspices of the Geneva Convention. The United States does not live in a vacuum. We are one of many nations on this planet that has to get along with everyone else; be it a Republic or not.
The best way to lead is by example. If we got rid of nuclear weapons, it would be profoundly easier to justify acting against other nations should they act to develop them. Nuclear weapons are indiscriminate killers of civilian populations, including pregnant women. So, you are for abortion by blast, heat and radiation; so much for your defense vaulted favorite rhetorical foil in here.

Actually, I have studied leadership, and it is a fundimental principle to lead by setting an example. It is something even your Jesus is written as having done. In the writings of the New Testament he does not ever take advantage of the popularity he is alleged to have built up, he stays a common man, wearing simple clothes, sleeps as a poor man does, and has no trappings or wealth or privilege. So, by your own logic Jesus must of been a dumb ass. That is the foolishly conflicted nature of your comment here. A really great in soul and heart country would use a per-emminent position, power and influence to act for the common good of mankind, thus inspiring the best in the other countries of the world. Nuclear weapons require a great deal of research, testing, and constant expenditure of great amounts of money merely to maintain their potency because of the nature of how their primary components decay due to their radioactivity. It would not be that hard to set a followable example in taking a position not to make and use them. It would not be hard to enforce the will of the U.S. and others following the lead to get rid of nuclear weapons against any rogue state that did not go along with a popular international will not to make and use these weapons of mass destruction. You and your sidekick Bob of a Murron can try to use ridicule all you want; but nuclear weapons are an overkill, and an expression of the darkest part of the human spirit from where the compulsion to commit suicide comes from. Their existence is an expression of the weakness of cowardliness in human beings, not the greatest part of them. It is suicide for all for one nation to use them in such a way everyone else retaliates with them. And we don't show ourselves to be great by precipitating a game whereby the countries of the world exist with a gun to each others head merely by expending great resources and capital in designing, building and maintaining this sort of weapon designed to destroy everything we hold dear to us.
