Since they're are both stone call broke and too cheap to donate anyway, they have come up with a new ploy to bolster newt. When JR endorsed Gingrich I called it "the kiss of death". Now it's what, a month later, and the Gingrich campaign - riding high at the time of the JR endorsement - is now broke, with the big money backer, the only reason Gingrich held on as long as he did, backing out. I hope they all jump ship and endorse Santorum now, just to watch the same thing happen. Four candidates in a row crashed and burned shortly after becoming the favored candidate of FR: Bachmann, Perry, Cain, Gingrich - can they add to that string of epic fail?
Now it's what, a month later, and the Gingrich campaign - riding high at the time of the JR endorsement - is now broke, with the big money backer, the only reason Gingrich held on as long as he did, backing out. I don't mean to step on your toes ... but, that insignificant out of the way chit-chat channel has about as much political influence as my dog's pile of shit in the backyard. All that can be done with the crud is scoop it up with a poop-scooper and toss it in the trash or step on it and shake the shit off the bottom of your boots. Those are the only two options.
I don't think FR per se is very significant anymore, but I do think they are representative of a mindset that probably represents 10% or so of the electorate - mindless sheep being led around by the nose by the media.

When I received the ZOT back in ~2001 because of my stance on Israel (I don't like all this international BS that the USA promulgates) it was really a good experience. Frankly, since then ... I haven't brought up that chit-chat channel much ... there was one time that I wanted JR to ride down Lombard Street in San Francisco in his wheelchair, though ... I had heard he went to SF with about 2 of his FReepers to Support the Troops! in support of Iraqi invasion. Well, that was about 8 years ago or so.
