ROCKVILLE, Md. - A flyer sent home with some high school students in Montgomery County, Md., is causing consternation among parents. The flyer is from a group called PFOX, Parents And Friends Of Ex-Gays And Gays. In the one-page message, the group tells teenagers that no one is "born gay", and people can choose their sexual orientation. Karen Yount-Merrell, a licensed, clinical social worker, got one of the flyers when her son came home with his report card from Einstein High School. "I don't like it," Yount-Merrell declared. "Everything in this flyer make its sound like the goal is to be [an] EX-gay, [or an EX]-lesbian. It is not embracing of a different orientation. It reiterates a societal view that there's something 'wrong' with you, if you're not in the norm. If you aren't heterosexual. And teenagers have a hard enough time dealing with who they are and feeling good about themselves." Supporters of the flyer say their literature simply calls for "tolerance" of a different viewpoint on homosexuality. "If people were to actually read the content of the flyer that we're distributing, they will see there is nothing in here that is insulting or even critical of homosexuals,” said PFOX board member Peter Sprigg. “All it is telling kids [is] that you don't have to be gay if you don't want to be." The group is taking advantage of school board policy in Montgomery County. Based on court decisions, the policy is: if a group can prove it is a non-profit, community entity, it can send flyers home with students on four occasions a year. Most of the time, it is the PTA or the Girl Scouts that send home flyers. There is little or no controversy over those messages. That is just commonsense. Those who, by their actions, advocate the discontinuation of humanity are insane. Any physical or mental malady that threatens the very existence of humanity must be quarantined and their disease eradicated if humankind is to survive.
How do you define a "problem" and then couple a "solution" in the contemporary world of mankind, docktoreskimo? You realize, don't you docktoreskimo that the world has over seven billion people at the moment, correct? And this population level is an ALL NEW ZENITH upon the planet, correct docktoreskimo?
Rational people must do that. If we allow the insane to define the problems and then the solutions, we get insane solutions to problems that are often invented by diseased mentalities. Solutions such as mass sterilization of humans, manufacturing plagues to devastate humanity, genocide, wars, encouraging the mental malady of aberrant sexual behavior, etc. are the product of such mentalities. The diseased mentalities work themselves into an insane frenzy about population to the point they lust for the opportunity to destroy the humanity around them or are willing to commit suicide in order to alleviate their own mental pain. Rational people realize that the entire population of the planet could fit in an area the size of the United States with each family of 3 to 4 persons having an acre of land and that population is not yet such a problem.
So, doktoreskimo, you claim: Who are these rational people? The folks that you agree with? Is a majority vote required? Credentials? Degrees? Actual experience? The decree from you or some head of state or a duly sanctioned subordinate irrespective of anything but being a follower/swallower about an opinion?
I don't believe for one minute that men can choose to be gay. Homosexuality is so repulsive to most men that we would rather commit suicide than get up close and personal with another man. Homosexuality is a birth defect.
Perhaps start with the following: Those who can logically and objectively, instead of emotionally, define the problems. Those who do not advocate the destruction of humanity to solve problems.

There is actually no scientific consensus at this point that this is the case.

I tend to agree with you but there are those whom one could almost consider rational with the suggestion that there is a certain randomness to the natural order of things and natures God makes corrections from time to time in order to prevent any random defect from propagating.

Very true, because we still don't know as much about the brain as is required to make such a determination. My view is that at some point we'll know enough to determine that there is a genetic defect that makes a person homosexual with no desire to propagate our species. I don't have a definitive set of evidence, but based on my understanding of other afflictions, this is most likely to be the case.
My view is that the "experimenters" were actually born gay. In the past, homosexuals often hid their affliction by putting on a facade of normality, in some cases even getting married and having kids, to cover up their affliction. When they were caught having a homosexual relationship, many said that they were just "experimenting". No. There is no "experimenting". You are either homosexual or not.
Being gay would be the least of yukon's problems.

And what about heterosexuals with no desire to propagate the species? Would you consider that a genetic defect too? I believe quite a few gays would like to have children, and I personally know of one gay couple that has adopted a girl. As for whether or not it's a genetic defect, I think it's more complex than that.
I don't think it's quite as black and white as that. For example, I myself am about 90% gay (just a rough estimate). I am mostly attracted to men, but I do occasionally come across women that attract me as well. There are also people who are bisexual. Again, I think you are oversimplifying the issue of sexuality, which is quite complex indeed.

As usual, the perverts try to normalize their behavior by comparing the consequences of their choices with the consequences of tragedies that happen to others. From a pure medical point of view, male homosexuality is incredibly destructive. There's a reason it cuts off a third of a person's life expectancy - it's extremely unhealthy behavior. Female homosexuality, on the other hand, is not as physically destructive, although I would argue that the lack of balance between the male and female influences in that sort of relationship are inherently unhealthy.
People should be responsible for their actions. Why should I have to not save for my kids college so instead I can pay for someone who was irresponsible? That is what you wacks want. You want people to not spend on their own children. So they can pay for someone who made a stupid decision. I say screw that. I will help my family. I may help yours. But forcing me to help is wrong.
