A restaurant in Knoxville, Tennessee refused to serve state Sen. Stacey Campfield, the man who sponsored the state’s “don’t say gay” bill, compared homosexuality to bestiality, and most recently told Michelangelo Signorile that it’s virtually impossible to spread HIV/AIDS through heterosexual sex. “I hope that Stacy Campfield now knows what if feels like to be unfairly discriminated against,” the Bistro at the Bijou wrote on its Facebook wall on Sunday. The restaurant has received an overwhelmingly positive response. (HT: Michelangelo Signorile) In a brief interview, Campfield confirmed to BuzzFeed that the restaurant’s hostess called him homophobic and said that he “hates homosexuals,” refusing to serve him. He argued that it couldn’t be true because he rents to gay people through his business. (HT: Towleroad.)

Ha ha Hey, but he got his just dessert for his baitful hate, served cold as his stony heart. So how can he complain? I'd throw him out too, good for them.
I hope A K A Stone doesn't have plans to eat there.
Ignoring two important facts; most HIV is spread via heterosexual sexual liaison, and mocking people with a disease is a fundamental bigotry deeply loathe in a very justifiable way by the medical profession in a systematical manner.
I'd love it; especially if I were given the deep honor of booting him myself.
He'd likely rant and rave and curse like the good Christian he claims to be.

Should a restaurant owner be able to toss out someone who is pro gay rights? It's a question about property rights... All of this behavior either way is likely in violation of portions of the civil rights act. Did you actually think your position through before you laughed at the situation?
I deleted my first post because I totally mis-understood the question, sorry. There are some restaurant owners who refuse to serve customers who don't speak english, so maybe they can. This would probably have something to do with the public behavior of gay customers and the effect it has on their other customers. I believe that if they lose customers and money, they should fight this, and throw them out. jmho!
It's a question about property rights... All of this behavior either way is likely in violation of portions of the civil rights act. Did you actually think your position through before you laughed at the situation? Was he thrown out for just showing up, or did he say something that led to it? If I were the owner, despite my finding his homophobic viewpoint despicable, I probably would not have thrown him out. Instead perhaps I would have engaged him in some healthy debate. But if he was being offensive, I'd toss his ass out in a heartbeat. Honestly, he was just being given a taste of his own medicine.
