First off: I don't care for personal attacks, or character assassinations of candidates either, they're annoying and get old...but! OTOH: I don't think anyone with a legitimate complaint against a candidate should be SILENCED either. For myself, I will vote for anyone (haven't made my mind up yet) if it keeps Obama out of the WH, but the one issue I dissagree with Newt about will affect this nation in ways most haven't stopped to think about. IF he is elected he may grant amnesty to all the Illegal Aliens who have been here for so many years, and their families too so that they are not separated. Sounds good if you DON'T stop to think about it.... But if he does get the chance to grant amnesty, citizenship, to tens of millions of Illegal Aliens and their extended families, you can bet Newt Gingrich will be the LAST CONSERVATIVE to ever hold the office of president, their sheer numbers will see to it that a Democrat is elected from that day on. Newt did those things. And yet there are more people today collecting government checks than ever before. As far as balancing the budget, you have to differentiate between the executive budget and the national debt, which grew with Newt as Speaker. Balancing the budget can be done with reduced spending, raising taxes or even shady accounting methods. If the debt grew, there were definitely no spending cuts. Paul Ryan is a douche bag. His plan was timid. I agree. Yet Newt called his plan radical. That's what you get with Newt. One day he'll say one thing and the next day he'll say another, and he's been on both sides of almost every issue, saying whatever the audience in front of him wants to hear. There is no real backbone for confrontation and I've talked to him and his staff about it and that just isn't going to change. He's a nice guy but he shouldn't be the poster boy for Medicare. I am opposed to Medicare. I am opposed to 3rd party payer. And I sure as hell don't want the feds fucking with my care choices. People would be a hell of a lot better off with direct pay and eliminate the millions of dollars wasted on bureaucrats including the insurance companies. My doctor (s) know I pay on time and if I don't like what they are doing I go elsewhere. Does that get me into a hospital easily?
