Gingrich started in politics as self-declared liberal Republican, so I suspect that his earlier statement that he supported Rockefeller over Goldwater was the truth.
But, now, how on earth could Newt Gingrich win the South Carolina primary when the day before the vote he had to cancel a major campaign stop because of lack of attendance?

The ostensible aim of all these sanctions, we are told, is to "force Iran back to the negotiating table" on its nuclear program. This is patent nonsense. Innumerable "negotiations" -- including major concessions by Iran -- have been rejected by Washington and the puppies. For example, who can forget Barack Obama's "major diplomatic initiative" in 2010, when he proposed a solution to the impasse: Iran should ship its nuclear fuel to Brazil and Turkey for processing. What happened? Well, as we noted here at the time:

Iran is left as the only real remaining obstacle to the King of Saudi Arabia being crowned as the King of a United Arabia.
We are going to continue to have wars there until he is crowned. After all,so many prominent politicians and businessmen count on payments from him to keep them rich.
But, the Saudi Royal family is also comprised of boozing, womanizing hypocrites.
That they are. So is the rest of the ruling class there. The first thing Saudi college students in Denver/Boulder used to do when getting to school was to buy themselves a BMW motorcycle,and black "smokey and the bandit" transam firebird,and at least one double-breated blonde "girlfriend". Then they would party down the whole time they were there.
I don't believe they are hypocrites,though. Who ever heard of religious people being hypocrites?

Nope,not gonna happen. They will end up ruling the whole Muddle East and controlling the fundies just like they will control the oil flow.
I'm not saying the local "royalty" won't stay in their palaces as figureheads,but I am saying they will follow orders or die.
And don't worry about Israel. Israel will end up being the Muddle Eastern banking center. No matter how much all those A-Rab tribel chiefs hate and distrust the Jews,they hate and distrust other tribal leaders even more.
The whole "death to all Jews!" thing is nothing more that propoganda to keer their goobers in line,and send them off to die if necessary. Hell,the King of Saudi Arabia is business partners with Jews even though he is not supposed to lend money and charge interest,and he's not supposed to associate with Jews.
