Just picked it up today!
1970 Chevy K10, half ton 4X4, 350 small block, factory air, factory tach, factory tilt wheel & cab light.
Needs some work but in damned good shape for a 42 year old truck.
Damn.... shifting with that (what seemed like) four foot shifter was half the fun.
LOL!
I still get the fun of the (what seems like) four foot diameter steering wheel.
I found a couple of 4 speed trucks that I was considering, but they were both 3/4 ton and I wanted the half ton, automatic.
This truck was actually already sold and the guy was supposed to be there Monday to pick it up, so I had to offer a little more than the asking price, but still am very happy with what I paid.

The guy that sold it to you after making a deal with someone else and promising to hold it for them should be dragged outside and beaten to within a inch of his life.
I once drove maybe 20 miles after taking off work and renting a trailer and a truck to go pick up a 34 Ford pu that I had agreed to buy and the seller had agreed to hold for me until after that day,and damned if I didn't meet somebody towing in off on their trailer when I was only a couple of miles from his house.
I had even called him that morning and told him I was on my way.
I suspect it was a good thing for both of us that he refused to come to his door when I got there.
Had a similar thing happen 2 years ago on a 54 Merc 2-dr ht I was buying about 400 miles away. I had given the guy a $250 deposit using PayPal and he knew I would be there in 3 or 4 days to pay off the balance and pick it up. I called him the morning I left home to let him know I was coming and would be there the next day,and got about 300 miles from home befoe getting a room for the night. I called him again the next morning to tell him where I was and that I would be there before noon, and he told me he had already sold the car and returned my money using PayPal. That one cost me 2 days wasted, about 50 gallons of fuel, and hotel and restaurant expenses. I hope he dies a very painful and drawn-out death.
Seems like nobody has any honor anymore, and sticking by your word means nothing to anybody.
Maybe the worse case was when I called a friend in another state to tell him about a 1933 Plymouth coupe at a insane purchase price, and asked him to check it out and make a downpayment on it for me if it seems to be as advertised. I had bought a car from him before, and checked out some Camaro parts for him where I live. His sole interest was in 60's Camaros. Until he spotted that 33 Plymouth, that is. He drove over them and bought it for himself.

Yeah, it was shady of him, but I couldn't pass it up because the guy that owned it was an ass. And get this...he's a State Trooper. Figures.

Damn, it's good to have friends, huh? With friends like that...
