When asked by the media about racist newsletters distributed under his name, GOP Presidential contender Ron Paul has disavowed and disowned the content, claiming he never wrote them. We now know this to be true, because the real author has been found. The offending passages were written by James B. Powell, who is now a high-ranking director at Forbes magazine, whose writers and editor-in-chief, Steve Forbes, regularly appear on the weekly Fox News program Forbes on Fox. Many people on Fox News have referred to the newsletters as baggage that would keep Paul from winning the GOP nomination. Now we know the passages were authored by a top member of an affiliate of Fox News. Sometimes satire just writes itself.
