Let's get to the truth about the neo-cons... Three questions for people who are against Ron Paul: 1.) Why do you want Americans to subsidize the military defense of rich countries in Europe, Japan, and South Korea 57 years after WWII ended and 22 years after the Cold War ended. Our subsidies put America at an economic disadvantage against those countries, because they don't have to spend as much on defense as we do because we subsidize them. Why do you want to hurt your fellow countrymen and give our competitors an advantage in the global economy? 2.) Why do you blindly support Israel's interests over the America's? Are you a dispensationalist Christian trying to bring about Armageddon? Or are you Jewish and just care more about your tribe than your country? Which one is it? 3.) What is the proper term for someone who puts the interests of other countries above the interests of their own country? Inquiring minds want to know.

Thanks for this thread. I always default to ignore all of Happy Qball's threads so I'll say it here; Elect Ron Paul for president, and 9-11 was an inside job. ;-D
Like we already knew, Ron Paul & the Truthers try to hide their inbreeding from all but their own because they know it doesn't look good to normal people. If you had half a ball you'd declare your beliefs on the pertinent poll.

Can't you people count? #1 is 2 questions loaded up in the middle with rambling incoherence covering a wide range of issues, & #2 is 3 questions, & all 6 are based on premises which I don't accept, but I'll give it a shot anyway. 1. #1 I want our bases in Europe closed, S. Korea & Japan downsized. But again you show your ignorance on world affairs and history, the Cold War hasn't ended, it's ramping back up. China is militarizing big time, Russia's rattling it's sabres and subsidizing Iran's nuclear weapons program. But the dumbest statement in the question(s) was that the Korean War ended. If you people weren't so ignorant you would know that a peace agreement was never achieved, it's only a ceasefire. Your kind needs to read and research something besides Truther moonbat Blame Amerika First propaganda, that way you might learn a little bit and not embarrass yourselves with so many stupid statements. Oh yeah, on another super stupid statement in the rambling rant disguised as a question about Europe being rich. In case you haven't heard, their economy is crashing, they ain't rich anymore. 1. #2 I want to keep my countrymen safe with a strong military, peace through strength, as it were. The promise of a good ass kicking will keep our logical thinking enemies at bay. Your entire rant (above) is FILLED with silly assumptions, such as: This is the type of person YOU are: present an ASSUMPTION based on partial data. American involvement in Korea is based on a multilateral agreement within the UN; in fact, the Korean "police-action" by the US is determined by UN sanctions; we are not alone, either. But you completely miss the point of jwpegler's thread: why are we still there after some 60 years of involvement? I shall answer the question for YOU because you are such a NIMROD. America's Korean AND European military involvement is based on treaties with an OPENED-ENDED responsibility by the US government to REMAIN forever. The NEOCON involvement in South Vietnam almost succeeded, too, if it weren't for DANIEL ELLSBERG showing that the US GOVERNMENT INTENTIONALLY LIED to the American People about the internal CIA considerations for biasing the situation for political gain in both the US and South Vietnam. Ellsberg's "Pentagon Papers" later collapsed the entire military operation combined with publick outrage. Publick pressure works to remove the blemishes of an empire, NIMROD. It takes time to defeat these mock officials in post WW2 American government. I want to add: WHAT THE FUCK IS AMERICA DOING IN OPEN-ENDED MILITARY CAMPAIGNS ANYWAY? It is all because of the powerful US military/industrial complex as Dwight Eisenhower lectured to the American People; even then, he would be rolling over in his grave if he saw where America is today.
You obviously have a problem with your eye site. No two countries have exactly the same interests. NO TWO COUNTRIES. Canada, United Kingdom, Australia, New Zealand, Japan, Singapore, Philippines, Germany, and yes Israel and many, many other countries have closely aligned interests with America. BUT, our interests are NOT the same. People who believe that another country's interests are exactly the same as ours are also the same people who will spy on America at the behest of another country or apologize for those who do spy on America for another country, like Jonathan Pollard. Anyone who thinks that America's interests are the same as any other country cannot be trusted. This is yet another reason why true conservatives don't trust you neo-commies.
We had a great opportunity to lock Russia into the west after the Cold War ended. Instead, Clinton, Bush, and Obama screwed the pooch on Russian by trying to enlist former Eastern European countries and former Soviet provinces into NATO so that we could build missile silos on Russia's border. Why would the U.S. government do this??? Because, as Ronald Reagan said: the closest thing to eternal life on earth we'll ever see is a government program. The Cold War was a huge government program and the people who profited from it weren't about to see it end.
Have you ever been to China? No??? I have. I've been to Hong Kong (several times), Shanghai (a few times) and Beijing (a few times). My current largest customer is headquartered in Taiwan. I go there regularly. Is Taiwan an armed camp waiting for the evil "communists" from China to invade??? No it's not. Taiwan is building factories in China. In many ways China is more capitalistic than is the U.S. In other ways, it's an arbitrary society with little to no government transparency. It also has a population on the verge of revolt. China is more like Chile under Pinochet -- an authoritarian country aggressively moving towards capitalism -- than it is like a 20th century communist regime. The only reason that they are enhancing their military is that they want some control of their sea-born borders, including the South China Sea, rather than having America monopolize control of the waters off of their shore. Why would you neo-commies think that the U.S. government should have control of the South China Sea? WHY???
