Would you describe someone who betrayed Second Amendment supporters as "conservative"? What about if that candidate voted for a massive expansion of the federal government's role in health care?
And if that candidate allied himself with union-label liberals like Ted Kennedy to vote for Big Labor power grabs time after time?
As sad as it is, those are just a few of Rick Santorum's "greatest hits."
Some in the liberal media are now trying to push Rick Santorum as another conservative alternative.
But the truth is, just like with all the media's other darlings, Rick Santorum is just another counterfeit, and he is no conservative.
Just consider Santorum's long Big Government record, including:
*** Voting to fund Planned Parenthood with hundreds of millions of our hard-earned tax dollars;
*** Voting to dramatically EXPAND the federal government's role in education and DOUBLE the federal Education Department by supporting President Bush's budget-busting and UNCONSTITUTIONAL "No Child Left Behind" Bill;
*** Supporting federal government involvement in housing, with the help of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac;
*** Voting for the creation of a brand new, unfunded entitlement, Medicare Part D, the largest expansion of entitlement spending since President Lyndon Johnson - creating $16 TRILLION in unfunded liabilities;
*** Voting with senators like Barbara Boxer and Frank Lautenberg to pass massive new federal gun control schemes and regulations;
*** Voting for Ted Kennedy's "Cesar Chavez Workplace Fairness Act," which would have dramatically expanded Big Labor's power over workers and led to a crippling nationwide wave of strikes;
*** Voting against a National Right to Work law, which would have ended forced unionism nationwide and would have stopped the seizing of dues, which are used to fund the campaigns of union-label radicals like Nancy Pelosi and Barack Obama;
*** Endorsing and campaigning for pro-abortion, anti-gun RINOs like Arlen Specter (who later switched parties and became a Democrat) OVER pro-life, pro-gun fiscal conservatives in Republican primaries;
With over $15 TRILLION in national debt, and government power increasing at every turn, the last thing we can afford is another FAKE like Rick Santorum.
Another email;
And when it comes to spending, Rick Santorum's record gets even worse.
He voted to DOUBLE the Department of Education.
He supported expanded federal involvement in housing through Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac.
He voted for the creation of a brand new, unfunded entitlement, Medicare Part D, the largest expansion of entitlement spending since President Lyndon Johnson - creating $16 TRILLION in unfunded liabilities.
With over $15 TRILLION in national debt, sky-high unemployment, and growing inflation, we literally can't afford another Big Government Republican like Mitt Romney, Newt Gingrich, or Rick Santorum.
