There are a lot of asshole douche bags on the internet. I will start naming them soon and some of the reasons why they are internet assholes/douchebags. Douches only post on other sites. So don't talk crap about anyone here. :)

I noticed the disconnect some years ago at LP when posters/myself included who fronted articles or suppliment during a thread on say Depleted Uranium,...US serviceman disability records,evidence of genetic defects in US servicemans familys,...those of nations where DU has been used.

What I find ironic is the posts by those who claim they are Christans, who then proceed to post the most disgusting and vile responses to those who disagree with them, and post blasphemous images, then turn around and castigate the real Christians with mocking and scorn. Yeppp....a real freak-show.

If you go balls to the wall, and want to cyber fight with someone - and you find out, after- that they were honestly mentally ill- you are going to feel terrible. Well, if you are sane yourself- and unless you are heartless- that is. I am just giving you a POV to consider. If you don't want to consider it- your choice. Don't say you were not cautioned tho. It happened to me, I engaged in cyber arguments with people who I later find out are hard care- ill- and it feels horrible to know that I didn't have enough sense to walk away from a sick person.
Serioulsy Fred- I come from Highlanders, Yanno Scots.. I got some Sioux and Cherokee- and some danish in me.. who is going to walk away from a fight in that mix? But what I have learned is that if we know someone is serioulsy mentally ill, with personality disorders- we should just walk away- and not engage. It was a painful lesson for me to learn. I am not kidding about that. I wanted to share it, because honestly I feel terrible about it and I wanted to help someone else. I was hoping I could help someone else, even someone like you. I could have done without my water heater going out @ 10AM on Christmas eve. Threw a bit of a googlie into the mix...all of those 365/24/7 ANY EMERGENCY ANY TIME plumbers left me in the lurch...but a Moslem plumber came through for me about 6PM and that's no lie...

Replaced. Bottom of it was gone. AO Smith...10 year tank lasted 13. Real bummer too as I am re-doing the basement and a tankless water heater is going to go in. I started calling plumbers around 10:30 and by Noon, when not one had returned the call, I then called some plumbing supply places and when I got no answer from any of those either I ran to Home Depot and bought myself a new one. Worst came to worse I was putting it in myself - which I could have done. I would have been a bit worried bleeding the gas line, though. Interesting thing at Home Depot. I learned that I was not alone. There were three other people there who had same thing happen and the HD guy told me that there had been 6 or 7 others in first thing that morning.

I've heard of home septic systems having to get back-pumped during the holidays - with 15 or 20 folks in the same home at one time - often during Thanksgiving and Christmas. My water heater is 18 years old and I won't be surprised when the time comes.
Piping was good. When the tank I was replacing was put in it got new copper - switched out from brass - and they also ran a new cast iron gas line to it with a cock and bleeder. I've also had the plumbing in the house redone over the years. I believe that there is only one brass line left in the house and that one carries the cold water up to the second floor. I tried to have that line replaced when I did the kitchen but the upper elbow is actually IN the flooring and so was impossible to remove and replace. When I redo that bathroom I'll replace it. That one had replaced a copper tanked JOHNSON brand water heater from the early 1960's.

Ironic things about the old water heater...it was an "emergency" installation the day before Thanksgiving 1998.

Funny...I'm on about my third set of works for the upstairs bathroom. Costs a few bucks and installs in minutes. My issue is that I have an American Standard Cadet in a color that they no longer offer. The last time that I needed a new seat it took forever to find one so I bought 5.

Those tankless water heaters are the way to go. We've had one running on propane for almost five years so far without a problem and it cut way down on the utility bills. Our water is so mineralized that even with the filtration/softener system we were lucky to get three years out of a tank and the warranty on them is a joke.

I disagree. She will use this as an opportunity to come in and ban pro-Ron Paul members just like she did last election cycle. I respect all points of view. I am for Ron Paul, am a military veteran who was in the 82nd Abn Div and Special Forces (National Guard), I do forest and cetacean activism and worked in Occupy Eugene. I am no communist nor socialist, but I am sure my political paradigm is to the left of you. I live in Eugene, Oregon where Obama won five votes for every one McStain got, and to an extent I reflect my environment. I would say on a board like this the propensity is to consider me a 'liberal,' and locally people who know me consider ne too 'conservative.' So you figure it out. ;-)
