The Tofflers were a couple of old folks who couldn’t figure out how to program their VCRs, so they began writing about the “shock” of technology and how we needed government planning to deal with technological overload… Their big idea was that the world was about to change faster than it ever had before, creating a technological explosion that would frighten and baffle the masses… The government would have to have advisers and committees in order to ease the transition. Gingrich… announced that all legislation passed by the new Congress would have to pass a test: Will it help move America into the Tofflers’ vision of a ‘Third Wave’?”

I read the "Third Wave" 30+ years ago. It was an interesting book for people who weren't ready to confront the information age... The entire notion that Gingrich would propose the authors as the basis of a new society demonstrates that Gingrich has no business being President of the United States. George Will had this exactly right -- Gingrich would have made a great Marxist... Government programs... Government control... That's Gingrich. Sure.. Gingrich may have have good intentions. But the road to hell is paved with good intentions. We don't need command and control. We need freedom.
Well, this should pretty much seal the deal for Newt. Does anyone wonder why the RNC would promote this globalist traitor?
I'm wondering why the Paul campaign isn't spending this amount of time, money and energy exposing Romney as well.
Maybe Ron Paul secretly likes Romney a little more from having worked with Newt.
I was a little involved in politics when I was young. I met Ron Paul 3 times in 1988. A lunch, a dinner, and some appetizers. I am NOT involved in politics today because I've decided that politics is NOT the answer. But I still support Ron Raul. I support Ron Paul because he is a really good guy. He's honest, genuine, concerned... Ron Paul is someone who wants to see America succeed. The most important thing that I've learned in my live is that life all about TRUST. Work, marriage, family, friends... It's all about TRUST... I TRUST Ron Paul. That's why I support him for President.

As if in rebuttal, Paul's campaign launched a new television commercial describing him as "principled, incorruptible, guided by faith and principle" and the man to restore the economy. "Politicians who supported bailouts and mandates, serial hypocrites and flip floppers can't clean up the mess," it says as photos of Newt Gingrich and Romney appear on screen.
