Who is singing? Not Sammy Hagar. Hagar and Van Halen's old bass player (Michael Anthony) are in a band called Chickenfoot with guitar extraordinaire Joe Satriani and drummer Chad Smith (Red Hot Chili Peppers).
I saw Van Halen in 2004 with Hagar at the Key Arena in Seattle. Eddie looked great. Hagar was fat as a pig (he's since lost a bunch of weight).
They were great!
Rammstein is coming to the Tacoma Dome in May. We will be there.
David Lee Roth is singing. Wolfgang Van Halen is taking Michale Anthony's place.
I saw Van Halen in 1984 at Cincinnatti Gardens. We were in the very back row. It was a great show. I hope they come close to me and I will see them again.
To bad Michale Anthony isn't going to be playing with them.

I'm really a little disappointed with Chickenfoot.
I guess I expected better. What I have heard of them sounds like 80's outtakes.

Yeah... They've had 3 albums and a total of 1 great song (Oh Yeah) and a couple of other okay songs. It's not a great track record.
But, I love Sammy Hagar -- Montrose, solo, Van Halen, and Chickenfoot... So, I'm going to support whatever he does in the hope that he'll get it right once again.
