#1. To: tom007 (#0) The audience at Saturday nights Republican presidential debate gave their loud seal of approval to the idea of removing restrictions on child labor. Right! BrianWilliams had a segment on his new show about the children in West Africa working at the gold mines. Some lived two hundred miles away from home and many were as young as five. They didn't get paid a wage but were given two small buckets of dirt that may or not contain any gold. A ten hour day was the norm and many did not even have any thing to eat. Yea, we sure need to abolish child labor laws. Afterall, children need to go to work so they can start saving money to pay their share of the "national debt" that the neocon pols have saddled each american with. What a wonderful country! ambi posted on 2011-12-11 10:06:40 ET #2. To: tom007 (#0) With that, the Republican audience erupted with applause. If so, fuck this CUNTry.
Somebody ought to tell the truth about the Bible. The preachers dare not, because they would be driven from their pulpits. Professors in colleges dare not, because they would lose their salaries. Politicians dare not. They would be defeated. Editors dare not. They would lose subscribers. Merchants dare not, because they might lose customers. Men of fashion dare not, fearing that they would lose caste. Even clerks dare not, because they might be discharged. And so I thought I would do it myself... There is nothing wrong with kids helping out at school with mopping, serving lunch or other medial tasks. Newt is right it would help them see the value of work. The people discussing this are morons. All of them.
