United States News Title: Girl Scouts Support Abortion and Sexual Promiscuity Girl Scouts Support Abortion and Sexual Promiscuity For the past one hundred years, parents have readily sent their daughters to Girl Scout meetings believing that they were being taught a number of useful talents and wholesome character qualities and for many years that many have been true, but not anymore. In the past year, a number of people have been coming forward with information that ties Girl Scouts United States of America with Planned Parenthood even though the organization’s leadership denies the association. But the evidence says otherwise. In 2004, former Girl Scout CEO Kathy Cloninger did an interview with Lester Holt on the Today Show on which she admitted that the Girl Scouts partners with a number of organizations including Planned Parenthood. Her statement in the interview was, “We partner with many organizations. We have relationships with our church communities, with YWCAs and with Planned Parenthood organizations across the country, to bring information-based sex education programs to girls.” Sharon Slater, president of Family Watch International wanted to know more about the association with Planned Parenthood and exactly what the sex education program the Girl Scouts were teaching contained. In March 2010, the United Nations held a conference on women’s rights. One of the workshops at the conference was sponsored by the Girl Scouts and Slater tried to attend by sitting in the back, but was told it was for girls only and was escorted out of the room. When the workshop ended and the doors opened, she managed to slip in and pick up one of the handouts that were given to the attendees. Slater was shocked when she saw the content of the twenty page brochure which was titled, Happy, Healthy and Hot. Besides containing contact information for the International Planned Parenthood Federation, the brochure also contained what Slater described as sexually explicit information which included statements telling girls that any form of sexual activity they desire to engage in is permissible and that if a girl knows she has HIV, that it is up to her discretion on whether or not she wants to tell a potential sexual partner of her illness or not. After Slater wrote about this on the Family Watch International webpage, Girl Scouts USA issued a statement denying any association with Planned Parenthood or with the Happy, Healthy and Hot brochure. Since then, Slater and several other concerned parents have conducted further investigation into the Girl Scouts’ association with Planned Parenthood and have placed information and documentation to back up their claims on their website. Earlier this year, sisters Sydney and Tess Volanski quit the Girl Scouts because of the things they were being taught. The girls had been involved with scouts for nearly eight years. They launched a website called SpeakNowGirlScouts.com on which they wrote, “We parted ways with the organization when we discovered that they have a pro-abortion mindset. “We refuse to remain silent while this organization’s unscrupulous principles mislead over 2 million girls in the United States alone. “We created SpeakNowGirlScouts.com in order to spread the truth to others who have no idea what GSUSA’s true intentions are.” Like Sharon Slater, the girls came under attack by Girl Scout supporters, but they firmly adhere to their statements as being factual. Since launching their website, reports have claimed that many girls have since left the Girl Scouts for the same reasons. Former Planned Parenthood clinic director Abby Johnson, who is now a pro-life advocate, said that she was once handled a Planned Parenthood brochure titled, How to Know You are Ready for Sex which had the Girl Scouts USA logo printed on the back. Girl Scouts USA recently held a national convention in Houston. An article written by Rebecca Hagelin appeared in the Nov 6 Washington Times in which she said that most parents are completely unaware of the true agenda of the Girl Scouts. She also wrote, “In contrast to the Boy Scouts of America – an organization I have long supported and recommended – the Girl Scouts of the United States of America has been co-opted as the functional arm of the Democratic, feminist establishment. It dupes millions of American families into believing that its only mission is to promote wholesome leadership activities for girls.” Jane Petry, a 67 year old lifelong Girl Scout leader picketed the Houston convention trying to inform all of the parents and girls attending that money raised via the purchase of uniforms, materials, cookies and dues helps support the deep-seated pro-abortion agenda of the Girl Scouts. Petry said in the video below that, “They have totally veered off course and I am now ashamed of them.” “The heart of the matter” is the Girl Scouts need “to practice ‘Truth 101′ and admit the connection to Planned Parenthood once and for all. “People come into the Girl Scouts with a perceived ‘goodness’ about the organization. “The GSUSA is a ‘brand,’ and they know of and approve of everything that is involved with their brand,” It appears that these outspoken opponents of the Girl Scouts USA are only the tip of the iceberg. As the news of their involvement with Planned Parenthood and other questionable teachings on sex education become public, more parents and girls are seeing the light and braving the harassment of their fellow Girl Scouts by also speaking out. I know of many Christian churches that have Girl Scout troops and who sell their cookies year after year, and I can’t help but wonder if they would continue to do so if they only knew what the organization truly stands for and what the proceeds from the cookies really go to. I urge all parents of Girl Scouts and Girl Scouts themselves to not just take the official Girl Scouts’ statements on the matter as gospel truth, but spend some time to do your own research on the matter and you may be in for a real shock and may want to re-think your involvement with an organization that supports the murder of unborn babies, free and open sex and lies to everyone to cover it up.

This is just great. I can hardly wait to find at my door, two girl scouts each with bulging bellies from pregnancy, selling this year's mint cookies. Oh yeah! This is going to be GREAT!

They still come to your door????? I must live too far out for them, I only see them at places like Krogers or Wal Mart......
