You had 65+ years to build a nest egg. Why didn’t you? You spent, and borrowed, and spent, and borrowed, and now you want the rest of us to pay for your generations’ binge. Cry me a river. You want all sorts of “senior discounts” and “senior benefits” and “senior protections”. The way I see it, you’ve got more experience, so you shouldn’t be scammed so easily. You’ve had more time to save and learn to budget, but you didn’t. The working generation is already paying too much for your folly. baseballguy2001 TH3 is right on the money. Who says it’s up to us younger folks to finance the older folks who didn’t save and invest for their “Golden Years”. The younger crowd sick of it and we intend change things. I've honestly never heard the rubber angle. I think we were there because some of our leaders feared a communist domino effect. You might even add in rightly or wrongly. They may have even staged that Gulf of Tonkin incident. Didn't we have an embargo against doing business with the Viet commies after the war? Didn't we "normalize" our relations with them during the first Bush or Clinton?

No, they are want to workers. Their elders were instrumental in setting up an atmosphere where our traditional jobs have been sent overseas. Read the article I posted this morning for an alternate view. When you were say 20 years old did you have all that stuff working against you? When I was 20 there was a national debt, Social Security was taken from my paycheck, and jobs for woman and jobs for men were listed separately in in the Want Ads. People said stuff like "that's good pay for a woman" and figured women just worked for "pin money". Things were darned good for white men though, lots of opportunity.

So if you want to work. You sit on your ass for two months, and whine about people who are working and succeeding? That doesn't seem like the way to get a job to me. I've never got a job that way.
I don't see anything inherently wrong with that. Say you are hiring for a highway road crew. Why are the women always standing there with a little sign and the men are the ones doing the work? I know men hold the signs sometimes too. Men and women are different. Some jobs a man is qualified for and a woman is not. Probably vice versa too but nothing comes to mind.

I don't think you can compare the debt then to now. It isn't even close. The debt now threatens to turn all taxpayers into debt slaves for the elites and the welfare class.

Didn't we "normalize" our relations with them during the first Bush or Clinton? Because we didn't get the desired result in Vietnam doesn't mean it wasn't one of the primary goals.

Are you saying they haven't been there for 2 months? You don't think they could have found a job in that 2 months? Even at McDonalds or WalMart to start? Ok you may not call it whining. I have this theory. When only men mainly were the bread winners. A man could take care of his family if he worked hard. Now that women are in the workplace (No I don't care if women are in the workforce) it takes 2 peoples income and it is rougher. I honestly think there is a bit of correlation between the two events.

I worked for a cabinet shop back in the 90's. We had this one chick there who was pretty damned good at what she did. Then there was another that the boss hired from the go go bar. She was black and her name was CoCoa. I liked her too but she wasn't so smart.

He is right. I think a lot of people just go there to protest because they know something is wrong. Not necessarily because they buy the horse shit coming from that anti American radicals.
