I haven't seen squat on Liberty Forum about Veteran's Day. Maybe there aren't any veterans our here except me. I am certainly NOT defending the U.S. government's foreign policy misadventures. America is worth defending. Not the government. Not the politicians. Not the bureaucrats. But, the Constitution and the people. We need to separate the horrible policies the politicians have foisted on the country from the willingness of America kids to defend the country. Yes, sometimes those kids have lost their lives because the idiot politicians are engaged in a giant game of Risk. Yes, the politicians should be condemned, but not the kids in uniform.

Even before the Minutemen, I was fairely good at a couple of Washington DC marches ... that is to say, before the Iraqi conflict. Ask most that know me. Years ago, I learned that the political ping/pong game of politics such as the GOP vs. the Dems or any such nonsense is built into the political system of America; neither political party ever hopes to solve actual problems. The real goal is how "THEY" can swing your vote into an abyss, as nothing is ever solved.
jwpegler should be thinking how he was raped by his own government while he is taxed to death; not about any idea or concept of "glory" because he decided to join the US mercenaries.

How is modern America "good?" Explain your point of view. Cite examples of where American government interference around the world since WW2 has been "good." Even as recently as Iraq and Afghanistan and Libya, America has lied out its teeth killing hundreds of thousands of innocent people in the name of "Democracy." I was also a Senior Rescue First Aid,.....must have spent 1/4 of my working time managing traumatic blood loss,steel melted into workers eye's ,....even death on the jobsite.
