Legalization for aliens a 'must,' Bush announces - GEORGE W. BUSH IS A TRAITOR AND MUST BE REMOVED FROM OFFICE [IMPEACH BUSH]
I admit that I was skeptical of your post. But I went to the FoxNews website and found a video report, "Immigration Debate." Absolutely stunning. Not that I am all that surprised by the underlying facts, but seeing this report in the MSM is jaw-dropping.
To see this report go to the http://www.foxnews.com. There is a blue shaded area on the right side of the pages -- Fox News Video. Click on the report entitled "Immigration Debate" under "US." (If you are dialup, do not neglect to set the speed to 56k.)
The original video package has disappeared from the FOXNEWS website. But Shep Smith ran a considerably toned-down, repackaged version at about 1540 ET today (Monday). The reporter is William La Jeunesse.
The essence of it is that illegal border traffic is being run by heavily armed drug cartels, that it is ushering illegals across the border in much larger numbers than previously reported, and that a "government" or "congressional" report about all of this is to be relased this week, maybe Tuesday.
The original video by La Jeunesse claimed that a hundred 737 planeloads of illegals were being ~flown~ into the country everyday. I did not believe this, but it gives the flavor of how sensational the initial report was. (I suspect that a source for the story might have meant to say that the numbers of illegals was ~equivalent~ to that many planeloads and it got mangled in the news machine.)
It looks to me that FOX pulled back because the original report was so red HOT and they wanted to get their act together before thay put the network's reputation on the line with the kind of "BREAKING NEWS....SKY IS FALLING" that the original content of this report seemed to justify.
Fox Special Report ran the very watered-down version of this story in their 6 p.m. (ET) hour. Given the early reporting, I have got to believe that this story is still dynamite. I think the suits are saying, "Hey...the report is due this week. Let's get it in our hand before we pull out all the stops."
