A new Physical GOLD based Currency (And There IS Enough Gold for this One.) By Coral Snake This is one of the revisions I’m making to the Corps of Discovery platform of basics. I have been studying the issue of money and currency extensively over the past few weeks and now feel that the Corps of Discovery should go on record as advocating a GOLD BASED private competitive currency rather than the debt free fiat currency plan originally advocated. One of the arguments I originally had against a gold based currency was that there was not enough gold for a physical coin standard for every one who would want to participate in such a currency when the current Debt / Usury based dollar collapses. I believe that I discovered a way to circulate gold in such a way that. 1. There will be enough for all potential participants. 2. That will retain the convenience of paper money but still be genuine physical gold. This idea came to me when I was studying recent developments in fiat currencies, particularly in Australia and Canada. I found they are no longer being made from paper but from a durable polymer material (plastic) and then came up with the idea: What if physical gold in small amounts could be circulated as a part of polymer notes rather than merely “backing” them much as we would see on the picture below: I have chosen the thousandth of an ounce of gold for our “monetary unit” here because that is a round number and It has a current market value greater than a FRN “dollar” (A requirement for legal “local” currencies) but is still small enough in value so that the average unemployed person nof today can buy in with what few FRN “dollars” he has. Now notice the yellow orange stripe on the perspective gold certificates pictured here. THIS WILL BE THE GOLD that the face value of the certificate represents. In otherwords these gold certificates wont be backed by gold they will BE GOLD. So here we have a currency that will circulate PHYSICAL GOLD again for the first time since 1932 yet still have the convenience of paper money. I think I may just approach Ron Paul with this idea since he is big on the idea of private physical gold circulation. However what happens a gold based polymer currency actually circulation physical gold as a part of its makeup is the new Monetary position for the Corps of Discovery.
