whineyold / loonymom, war, and gooberson are all on my bozo list -- for good reason.
Only Mom of that list survived my cut. And yes, avoiding Leftist propaganda and insanity is good reason.
I guess the real question here is whether there are any House Commies who are willing to debate honestly without feeling compelled to coddle 0bama and make up excuses for a Leftist agenda and policies.

Ferret tries at times to scale that wall...until an internal alarm goes off and he remembers that 0bama is all about "healing the world's oceans," while the Koch Bros. and Tea Party are peeing in it. Other than him, it's slim pickings indeed.

Ever read Mike's posts? I mean REALLY read/PERUSE his posts? His political slant is on the liberal side of the political system but he condemns 0bama for many things. He has always presented a fresh and mature picture of the world around him. He doesn't cloak himself in some elected leader, either.
And there is nothing wrong with having ecology in mind, either. It shows compassion about the world around him and for everyone. He is as conservative about natural resources and financial matters as anyone not born with a silver spoon in their mouths. He is almost (in my opinion) a vivacious representative of a Jeffersonian Democrat.

Yes, I've REALLY REALLY read Mike's posts. His "condemnation" of 0bama is more like a "Aw, gee, come on bro!" rather than a, "Are you %@!#& kidding me, dammit??!"
In his defense - as I've stated - he's more willing to be pried away from partisan Dem positions than the House Commies. And he will occasionally present interesting perspectives. But I would not come close to saying that he does not defend 0bama far more than is deserved.
And there is nothing wrong with having ecology in mind, either. It shows compassion about the world around him and for everyone.
Nobody criticized him for that; However, as a Greenie, Mike certainly gave 0bama a lot of slack for his part in the Gulf Spill debacle.

I do, too.
Those government approved BP contracts for technical and quality assurance purposes were signed by a number of international corporations IRRESPECTIVE of the outcome with the USA. Deep water mining is difficult and is on the leading edge of man's methods for discovery, development and practices for the exploration of energy mining.
0bama was incapable of doing anything other than his blunder of suspending further research and contracts for this approach of and about development.
BP, for the large part and at their own expense, has restored the situation. Now, it is time for me to have my GULF SHRIMP for dinner! HHHHMMMMMM YUMMY!

It wasn't any "blunder"; 0bama was VERY capable at acting as though the spill were no great emergency.
As if he were on a Quaalude binge, this Marxist saboteur purposely sandbagged and undermined the clean up operations and purposely created a further mess by dumping millions of gallons of the toxic dispersant Corexit into the Gulf - for purely political purposes. Everyone knows he's anti-oil - except when he's busy handing the Chicoms, Brazilians, and Venezuelans the key to Gulf oil.

They've done WHAT?? Oh, that's right - those ad spots they've done are fantastic! Makes it seem as though the Shrimp aren't a ticking toxic time bomb! Enjoy the scampi and please post the photos of your new third eye and a extra pair of limbs...
MF Global Holdings Ltd., the futures broker run by Jon Corzine, was suspended from conducting new business with the New York Federal Reserve today after posting a record loss.
Alexander estimated MF Global could get about $765 million for the futures unit. A sale would also free up as much as $1.3 billion in regulatory capital MF Global is required to hold against its $12.7 billion in customer collateral, Alexander said.
The New York Times reported that by Sunday evening, the talks had narrowed to one bidder, Interactive Brokers.
Sullivan & Cromwells restructuring and mergers teams have joined the long roster of those advising MF Global, one source familiar with the situation said.
Weil, Gotshal & Manges was also hired to prepare potential restructuring options, a second source familiar with the situation said. The sources could not be identified by name because the talks were not public.
Weil would focus on MF Globals UK subsidiary if it needed to pursue a formal restructuring overseas, the Journal reported.
The securities company also has hired firms Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom, the newspaper said.
