STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. -- A Staten Island police inspector who violated department guidelines when he used pepper spray on Occupy Wall Street protesters last month has been transferred to Staten Island Borough Command from his Manhattan South assignment, a police source told the Advance.

Deputy Inspector Anthony Bologna, a Westerleigh resident was docked 10 vacation days last week after an internal New York Police Department review. He will work as a special projects coordinator at borough command headquarters in New Dorp.

Video from the Sept. 24 protests shows a small group of women corralled by orange netting used by officers to control crowds. Bologna approaches and, seemingly without warning, blasts the women with pepper spray.

Teacher's aide Kaylee Dedrick, 24, has said she plans to press assault charges against Bologna. She intends to file a lawsuit against both him and NYPD.

Pepper spray is relatively low on the spectrum of force available to officers. The patrol guide lists several situations where an officer may use it, including for protection. The guide prohibits the use of pepper spray against subjects who don't actively resist.

And as usual it's reported that OWS parasites and antagonists are "seemingly" innocent little lambs. They haven't been goading the cops at all, eh? For a little pepper spray it's "Boo-hoo-hoo...waaaahh!!! Police "brutality!!!"??

I'm on totally the cops' side on this one.

And for their stupidity and cowardice, NYPD brass is caving in to the colluding rat Bloomberg and his Leftist Org's bullsh*t, and NOT backing their own grunts who've been taking sh*t from the riff-raff for a month or so.

So NOW in typical Leftist fashion, the shake-downs begin. Frivolous lawsuits will be flying in all over the place. There'll be NO shortage of Leftist ACLU-types slobbering at this or missing dotted "i"s and crossed "t"s on the police reports.

Wow. There's all kinds of blood in the streets!! Oh wait a minute....

You have video from a distance but no physical or verbal assault context as to what was going on, yelled, or possibly threatened from the suburban guerrillas, aka Commie anarchists. These parasites and drama queens are threatening the livelihood and ability to move about of far too many productive citizens.

This isn't a protest, it's arguably a sitting army waiting to move.

People have the constitutional right to assemble and express their grievances. As far as your spin goes, I can't do any more than you do here and extrapolate the circumstances of the situation.

What I did here was what have generally done when someone posts a story on something like this where there is a video on hand to add to the thread; I contributed it to it in a post.

Myself, I have indeed been in a crowd that was quite peaceful and been pepper sprayed.

And I saw it go from from people watching non-violent civil disobedience to the biggest story in Eugene Oregon in 1997 and earn the label, "The Eugene Tree Cutting Riot."

I also saw the cops learn from it and change their tactics. For example, at the start of Occupy Eugene on the Senator Wayne Morse Free Speech plaza, cops in uniforms of tee shirts, swat pants and boots wandered the perimeter loosely and only chatted and communicated with people. When it was obvious we were well organized and had volunteer peace keepers monitoring behavior well, they left.

The 'occupation' stayed at the park locks downtown in Eugene until the next Saturday when we moved to Alton Baker Park with the blessing of the Eugene City Council, and this was done in an orderly fashion, and we cleaned the Park Blocks thoroughly as not to cause even the slightest disruption of the Saturday Market the next day, which we moved as not to disrupt.

NO that's not a question...

Oh I would not be surprised. One of the inconvenient truths about homosexuals is they are split into political demographics, and many of them are quite conservative.

They tend to remain closeted more than their more liberal brethren, but sexual preference is a normal human sexual demographic that has a biological base to it that causes it to be spread throughout all parts of humanity and has no bearing on who someone is, how rich they are or where they live.

It has been like that the entire history of our species, and trying to get rid of homosexuals is as irrational, foolish and as pointless as trying to rub out people to eliminate people with blue eyes or brown hair.

Lubey tries to be what he perceives as normal by overcompensating. Seriously, was anyone surprised that Yukon is gay when outed himself. They run by the same playbook.

His continued use of homoerotica betrays him. NO one talks about sucking cock as much as he does without either doing it or wishing for it.

It's like the old joke of the drunk who wakes up in bed with another man...not remembering the night before he asks in trembling voice...

"Did I perform a homosexual act last night?"

HIs bed partner's response...

"Of course not!!! Liberace is a 'homosexual act' you just sucked my cock and got fucked in the ass."

I'll believe that a corporation is a person 1 second after Texas executes one...

"His continued use of homoerotica betrays him. NO one talks about sucking cock as much as he does without either doing it or wishing for it."

Being Republican or other types of conservatives who are closeted because of their intolerant conservative brethren is hard on them and their sexual orientation makes this suppression because of fear manifest their sexual nature in strange ways.

One hears far more talk about homosexuals even in this forum then one hears in real time living an average life in the day to day world in any city U.S. A.

Unless you live in an enclave where gays and lesbians have gathers for mutual survival against the haters and baiters.

This is why gay people like Yukon even slam their fellow gays to keep themselves from drowning by pushing their fellow gays and lesbians heads under water to try to sit on them to keep themselves from suffering that fate.

IF this wasn't so pitiful and tragic to watch, it would be comical.
