In fact, I would prefer to see family farms replace agribusinesses' corporate collectivizing of land. I also want the U.S. Constitution upheld and followed, and this country to remain a Republic. There are indeed people out there who are really way way out there and believe we need to have some sort of communist revolution that would inevitably wind up as a repressive dictatorship of a few leaders oppressing everyone else a la George Orwell's satire concerning this called 'Animal Farm.' But to say the least, I am hardly one of them. So, you are endowed with the free speech right to brand and label others anyway you wish, but it will never make that true. ;-)

I did get feedback later from a couple that served in Afghanistan that the lessons they learned about dealing with difficult guerrilla leaders came in handy and may have saved their lives and missions,though.

Yes, China is much more capitalist than the U.S. today. This is why they are growing at 8%, while we are stagnating. However, look at Chinese history - before, during and after Communism. China has always been much more concerned with what goes on inside their country than out. Throughout their history, they built walls to keep others out (not just the Great Wall, but many walls built over centuries). Even during the Cold War, when Russia was fermenting revolution around the world, China mostly kept to themselves (unless there was a conflict right on their border, like Korea). China is not the next natural leader of the world as goober claims. Nor are they a huge threat to America as the GOP neo-commies state.

I wish we had had you being our G chief. I knew that Robin Sage was hard to predict and had various ways things could go in order to keep us on our toes, and it was nowhere near as bad as the SERE Course, but we had some really fun time with the ones who played Gs when my class went through. I also got to do two phase one sessions. I passed both. of course, the first was the shake and bake Reservist and Guard show that lasted two weeks which we did along with the requisite resident correspondent courses. That was not bad, so when I got a chance to go to the R.A Q Course, I found out what a month if genuine agony was. I lost over 25 pounds and took my requisite PT test for it after I finished it and came within ten points of failing it and having to do it again. Special Force's teaching meant a lot to me in my life though. I would not be the man I am today if I had never been motivated to join that Guard S.F. Unit when I saw it doing NCO School at Camp Williams in Utah. Special Forces is the best element of the military. With all due apologies to the Seals of course.

It is not illegal to be a communist. They are marginalized and unpopular, but the U.S. Constitution gives the political freedom for people to belong to those political parties.
