Title: Why Aren’t GOP Presidential Candidates Hitting Obama on Scandals? (Like McStain, Pubbies again ignoring the obvious)

This seems nonsensical to me. With Solyndra and the Fast and Furious scandals unraveling more each day, it makes no sense for the Republican candidates for president to remain quiet on these issues.

What the heck are they waiting for? Eric Holder has finally been implicated in the gun running operation that resulted in the death of Border Patrol Agent Brian Terry and guns falling into the hands of drug cartels.

The Solyndra scandal is blowing up in the face of the president and his political team, who pushed through the loans to the now bankrupt solar panel company. And yet, there is relative silence from the candidates who are trying to replace him.

The Daily Caller has been asking the same questions on Fast and Furious:

“Not one Republican presidential candidate has offered a plan for reforming the Justice Department or preventing future administrations from plowing forward with catastrophes like Operation Fast and Furious, the New Black Panther Party voter intimidation case or the politicization of the career hiring in the DOJ’s civil rights division.”

“Operation Fast and Furious hasn’t come up during a debate yet, nor has reform of the Justice Department. Many of the candidates have not even commented on Fast and Furious. After an extensive search, The Daily Caller only found two candidates who have: Congressman Ron Paul and former House Speaker Newt Gingrich.”

When it comes to Solyndra, I could only find this from Newt Gingrich:

“As president, I would have fired Sec. Chu for so grossly mismanaging taxpayer dollars,” Gingrich said. “Furthermore, to protect taxpayers, I would have blocked any additional loan guarantees until a full investigation had taken place into the mismanagement and potential corruption in the loan for Solyndra.”

The DOE secretary has come under increasing fire for his role in Solyndra, as has the White House. However, White House press secretary Jay Carney recently said Chu has “the full confidence” of President Obama. The comment rankled Gingrich.

“The president says he has full confidence in Secretary Chu despite this scandal,” Gingrich continued. “What kind of confidence can we have in a president who refuses to hold his cabinet officers accountable?”

Another notch in the column for Newt Gingrich, as far as I’m concerned. He’s the only one who has talked about these two scandals. There is still no one who is hammering the President to come clean. If I were running a campaign I’d be planning a media strategy to force the debate to skew towards what the president knows. Donald Trump was able to force Obama to produce his [fake] birth certificate for God’s sake, how hard could it be? That was about as stupid of an issue as it gets but now we have scandals in involving murder, misappropriation of millions in taxpayer funds, and no one is talking about it?

Are we trying to win or not in 2012?

Poster Comment:

Great, simple points.

0bama has committed TREASON and MURDER in Fast and Furious. He has been caught money-laundering and delivering a quid pro quo half-billion dollars of TAX-PAYER money to a bogus solar company in exchange for campaign contributions (gee, wasn't Bubba guilty of that and NOT indicted?)

The GOP Presidential primary field are trying to win without laying a hand on 0bama. Just like McStain. This makes them ALL frauds.

0bama should be a sitting duck and the supposed opposing party of Republican patsies are yawning and snoring their way through not one but TWO obvious scandals where 0bama is OBVIOUSLY nailed to the wall.

But why should this surprise us?...

This isn't even taking into account all 0bama's OTHER serious scandals that haven't been exploited, like the Sistak job-bribery scandal in exchange for dropping out of the Senate primary; His DIRECT Acorn ties; His DIRECT Black Panther ties; His AG Holder refusing to indict Black Panthers, His money laundering of "Stimulus" funds through Commie-Unions...scandals ad infinitum.

It ought to bother the hell out of you.

It's goal was to singularly undermine the Second Amendment by "proving" guns "from the US gun-freaks" were and would be murdering innocent people. Not only that, Fast and Furious winds up arming hostile cartel members who have already been murdering US citizens AND Mexican citizens. It was an act or war perpetrating ON US citizens. TREASON.

As to presuming 0bama didn't "micromanage" it, who cares? He KNEW ALL about it. he signed off on it. The buck and treason stops at 0bama's knees.

Obama Scandals List at 200

I remarked recently that my Obama scandals list had evoked much less interest than my Bush scandals list. The motivation for the two is the same to help us remember in the face of so much to remember and so many attempts to distract us and cause us to forget. The audience for the Obama list is much smaller since so much of the left remains co-opted and/or in denial about Obama and the Democrats. As with my Bush scandals list, some argued that not all of them were scandals or pertained directly to Bush. My reply is that, for me, a scandal is meant to be a broad term that covers mistakes, stupidity, excesses, disasters, poor and bad choices, cynical ones, and criminality. In each and every case, there was some tie in with the President and party in power. The list is not exhaustive, and it does have some listings that I thought were important from the Obama campaign. There are a few scandals I never got around to writing up, like the attacks on ACORN and bills of attainder. Some are still in process, like the Bush tax cuts or suicides in the military. I wrote a long entry in my Bush scandals list on this but haven't gotten around to writing one for the Obama list. Items vary in quality. Some are a little disjointed as they get multiply updated.

What follows is the table of contents to the list. You can access it and the full list here. I would say enjoy but that doesn't seem appropriate given the context.
