ROTFLMAO...Stone, I love the three in your second video, the first was good, but those guys, as silly as they were, I understood completely what they were saying, because the lead dude, he is the image of my g-son, a smart-alecky, thinks he knows it all, in your face, oops, except with g-ma...just an all around likable person, and he thinks of us all as 'just Americans'.
The lead guy did seem likable.
I am glad the black guy reminded the badly educated little girl that Jews and Italians and Germans (Ben Franklin called Germans "swarthy") and Italians and Spaniards were not considered "white" at one time or another in this great but flawed country.

What is offensive are people who are Jewish, Eastern European, Souther Europe, Italian or German or of Scott-Irish decent accepting the racial bigotry of a the old Anglo population (which to be fair, not all Anglos accepted or cared much about racial politics) which used that to hurt those people that now are tricked into accepting the old Anglo prejudices but with their "kind" now being included in the "White" race. For the record, in the USA being "White" was a socio-economic condition as much as it was about race and ethnicity. For example, to the view of Benjamin Franklin the Germans who settled in Pennsylvania were "swarthy" and he extolled the virtues of the light skin and fair haired Anglo-Saxon people compared to the dark Germans. That is something some modern day people would scratch their heads about because in WW2 we fought against Germans who claimed they were the supreme example of the "white" race. Read: Ben Franklin on "Stupid, Swarthy Germans" The other objection that Ben Franklin had to German immigrants was their "swarthy complexion", which was an affront to the "purely white people" who originally settled America: Why should Pennsylvania, founded by the English, become a Colony of Aliens, who will shortly be so numerous as to Germanize us instead of our Anglifying them, and will never adopt our Language or Customs, any more than they can acquire our Complexion. Which leads me to add one Remark: That the Number of purely white People in the World is proportionably very small. All Africa is black or tawny. Asia chiefly tawny. America (exclusive of the new Comers) wholly so. And in Europe, the Spaniards, Italians, French, Russians and Swedes, are generally of what we call a swarthy Complexion; as are the Germans also, the Saxons only excepted, who with the English, make the principal Body of White People on the Face of the Earth. I could wish their Numbers were increased. And while we are, as I may call it, Scouring our Planet, by clearing America of Woods, and so making this Side of our Globe reflect a brighter Light to the Eyes of Inhabitants in Mars or Venus, why should we in the Sight of Superior Beings, darken its People? why increase the Sons of Africa, by Planting them in America, where we have so fair an Opportunity, by excluding all Blacks and Tawneys, of increasing the lovely White and Red? But perhaps I am partial to the Complexion of my Country, for such Kind of Partiality is natural to Mankind. The Irish were drawn in old cartoons to look like apes which was a stereotype used against Africans as well. Racism has twisted reality for this population. That is why a "Black History Month" is actually needed and a good idea as are all those "history months".

No, because the purpose of the history month is to explain to the racialist Anglo-douches (a shrinking population one hopes) in the first place that the racist policies they inflicted on the nation were wrong. Minorities never denied the dominant Anglos their human dignities which now requires a redress. I would be for a holiday to honor those Americans that fought for Civil Rights, be they white abolitionists or black freedom riders in the 60s or women and gay rights advocates. Maybe on the day of the Emancipation Proclamation was announced (September 22)?

I don't know if I qualify as "white" under the old Anglo racist ideology from the turn of the 20th century. I don't hate "white" people. I hate racist pukes - which is in America - an ideology first spread and maintained from the Anglo community. This the necessity to remind people that Blacks (who had it worse under the Anglo racism) contributed to the greatness of America, like the invention of blood transfusions and street lights, etc.

That the Whites needed to be reminded of this because they try to say Blacks are inferior and that is why the whites can discriminate against them (that was the whole basis for Jim Crow laws - Blacks are inferior and need controlling).

There are more whites then blacks. So of course there would likely be more receiving government money. What about per capita? Why does it really matter anyways. Per capita is meaningless because if we deported every single black person on welfare we only made a 30% dent in welfare. Welfare was invented to help poor whites because there were millions of whites living in shit in the 1960s and we were fighting a Cold War against an ideology that was championing the poor people. There was a real fear that Appalachia could be the home of a new Marxist insurgency or that it made America's claims for its ideology seem weak when so many Americans (i.e. whites) were living in huts without even electricity or plumbing. How can America build villages with modern amenities in Vietnam while whole swaths of Americans lived as poorly as Asian rice farmers?
