As Joe Wurzelbacher, aka “Joe the Plumber,” looks for support for a possible congressional run, he won’t find a lot of backing in one particular demographic: Plumbers. Some of the nation’s most notable plumbing trade organizations are reacting to news of Wurzelbacher’s run with disinterest or, in one case, disgust. Rick Terven, Sr. is with The United Association of Journeymen and Apprentices of the Plumbing and Pipe Fitting Industry of the United States and Canada (know simply as “UA” to the 340,000 members it claims) and writes POLITICO in an email: “As you know both Dennis Kucinich and Marcy Kaptor are also considering this race and have stood by working families time and time again. In doing so they both have earned the strong support of our members in Ohio. ‘Joe the Plumber’ may have played a part in the 2008 election story, but we know that the plumbers of the United Association and all other plumbers who care about working people will continue to support either Democratic nominee, not ‘Joe the Plumber.’ “‘Joe the Plumber’ does not represent the United Association nor our union members in any way. This is someone who appears to care more about being a celebrity than actually helping working families.” It was revealed this week that Wurzelbacher filed papers for a potential House run in northern Ohio, although he has yet to make a final decision. Jim Kendzel is the Executive Director and CEO of the American Society of Plumbing Engineers and hadn’t heard of Wurzelbacher’s run until POLITICO’s phone call. And he didn’t seem moved by it either way, saying: “We encourage all of our members to be active in legislative and code process both at the local and state and federal level promoting good plumbing, engineering practices.” But as for Wurzelbacher, specifically? “We really don’t have any comment related to that.” Well, except on one minor detail: “I don’t believe he’s actually a plumber.” Kendzel’s right. Wurzelbacher rose to prominence during the 2008 campaign between Barack Obama and John McCain and earned the moniker “Joe the Plumber,” even though it was subsequently revealed that he wasn’t a licensed plumber. It’s a distinction that’s not lost on the plumbing community. “I don’t think he’s actually licensed,” said Charlotte Perham, senior director of communications for the Plumbing-Heating-Cooling Contractors Association, which bills itself on its website as “the oldest trade association in the construction industry.” “I don’t know a lot about him,” said Perham, although she did know that “he’s not a member of our organization.” “At this point, we don’t have any comment.”

Okay...I'm game...learn WHAT from you exactly? That both of you are - barely - semi-literate? That both of you routinely lie your asses off? In the beginning, our young nation was iliterate and simi-literate, they never had the advantages and tools to educate themselves we have today, but we have them today because of these "ILITERATE", backwater, ragtag people. They brought themselves together to form a nation "UNDER GOD", they were smart enough, and brave enough, to put their differences aside to write, and put their john hancocks to the Declaration of Independence, a document charging King George with offences and crimes against our people, and to back it up with WAR to defend it. They were a pathetic lot, you'd be hard pressed to find two that could read or write. Not one man who penned his name to the US Constitution was a perfect man, there is no such creature and never will be, they may have been iliterate and backwards by todays standards, but they were brave enough and smart enough to know how to put their differences aside and create a document that was to protect our God given rights as humans, and even smarter know there would be traitors (present company accepted) who would do anything to destroy this precious document. You whine about me attacking some posters instead of addressing the issue at hand, well I'll tell you, the issue at hand is our Republic, something you and your big government loving socialist pigs would not understand, nor do any of you wish to, your mission is to tear this nation apart and re-create one tyrants like Che, Stalin, Mussolini, and Hitler would have loved. There are those here who defend the right of women to murder unborn babies, by the millions because they had a accident and want to get rid of it. There are those here who shred our Bible and Gods word in favor of perverts who commit abominations because it feels good. No one knows better what is happening in this nation than the elder Poles, the Jews, Gypsies, Slavs and so on, who have been there, and live to tell about it. I know about most of what is discussed here than you will ever be privy to, but it's not the issues I avoid, most who count know exactly where I stand, it's just that I don't like you, I don't care for anything about you, If there were a better word to use than 'loathe', I would it to discribe how I feel about you, beneath contempt is where you are, you put yourself there, along with all these other low and commom anti-Americans, you deserve nothing more than contempt, and you will receive nothing from me but contempt. I admire Murron's passion. I've been posting on various boards since the Clinton Administration. I was very naive when I began in that I thought most people would - if given facts and logic - have enough of an open mind to at least consider other viewpoints. I learned early on that wasn't the case - at least 90 to 95 percent of the time. Most people (and I'll include myself in this) are pretty much set in their ways and comfortable with their beliefs. After I absorbed that truism, I looked at the time spent on political chit-chat sites as strictly entertainment. Oh, I still learn something from time to time, and I have changed at least some of my viewpoints. (believe it or not). But I still applaud passion on the conservative side when I see it. I'll leave the "nit-picking" and "fact-checking" to others - you, perhaps.

He reminds me of a fellow tree planter who some of us knew was going to try to fake a knee injury to get a comp claim. The guy did his fake fall down, but hit is head instead of his knee as planned.
