Artist, musician and peace activist Yoko Ono is due in Iceland today. During her visit she will, among other things, award a peace grant from the LennonOno Grant For Peace foundation. Morgunbladid online reports.
Ono will introduce the film The U.S. vs. John Lennon at a screening on 8 October in connection with the Reykjavík International Film Festival.
On 9 October, the birthday of John Lennon, Ono will disburse two grants from the LennonOno Grant For Peace foundation, to the organizations Doctors Without Borders and Center for Constitutional Rights.
She will also confirm her intention to set up the IMAGINE PEACE Tower on Videy island.

Among other things: “freedom from fear,” “brotherhood,” “right to work,” “just and favourable remuneration,” “the right to rest and leisure,” and one’s “right to a standard of living adequate for the health and well-being of himself and of his family.” It is no wonder that with marching orders like these, The Center For Constitutional Rights has traditionally been involved in some of the most anti-American, pro-Leftist, public policy and litigation imaginable, and on behalf of those who hate our country as much as does the Center.
