(10-06) 11:39 PDT HOUSTON (AP) -- The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency is planning to ease new pollution rules that angered several states and infuriated GOP presidential contender Texas Gov. Rick Perry. The proposed fix to the cross-state pollution rule published Thursday will allow nine states, including Texas, to emit more sulfur dioxide. EPA regional administrator Al Armendariz says most of the additional pollution will come from Texas. Armendariz says the change is being made because the EPA now understands it had been provided incorrect information from some utility companies, including Luminant in Texas. He says it's not because of a letter Perry wrote to President Barack Obama or complaints by utility companies that they did not have enough time to comply. States still will have to comply with the revised rules by Jan. 2012.

The new EPA rule would have shut down 8% of the coal-fired power plants in the country next year causing electricity shortages and rising prices. Not a smart thing to do just before the election. Don't worry, if reelected Obama will complete his destruction of American energy production in 2013. Then we can all have jobs growing food by the sweat of our brow, just like in Cambodia under Pol Pot (see picture below).
And I don't think a permit for building a new coal fired power plant has been issued lately either......
"CHANGE" you can step in..... Here is the lunatic left's environmental policy: You can't build coal-fired plants. In fact, we need to dismantle the ones we have. You can't build damns. In fact, we need to dismantle the ones we have. (More damns are currently dismantled in the U.S., every year than are built). You can't build nuclear plants. You can't drill for oil. You can't even pipe oil from Canada for refinement in the U.S. You can build windmills in flyover country, but don't even think about building one off of the coast of Cape Code or other places where it might spoil the view for rich, limousine liberals. You can build solar plants in the desert, but you can't build transmission lines to get the electricity back to civilization .
So I'm curious as to how they think we can generate electricity?????? Do they have machines that turn "THEIR" lies into electricity???? If there were such a thing we could light up the universe...... and still have some left over for when we go into the next ice age!!!!
