Its amusing recalling how the leftwingnuts said a decade ago Fox News would collapse and fade away completely. They claimed it was doomed. Repeatedly. Course they also claimed Air America would be a rousing triumph, John Kerry would be President, and Owe-bama would unite us and fix the economy.... I guess you could say the leftwingers are in fact 'consistent' huh?

I'll give Fox News this much - If you think of the political spectrum with zero being extreme Left and 100 being Far Right and 50 being in the center - their range of opinion is probably 25 (Colmes) to 70 (Hannity). I'd put their news between 45 - 60, slightly center right. These are just my opinions - on that same scale, I'd probably be about a 90, so you know where I'm coming from. I look at Fox as better the others, but I have my problems with them. That said, I find it hilarious that the Left has so much angst over Fox. I'll cut them some slack, though. Life was so much easier for them years ago when there were just 3 networks with a single viewpoint. All they had to do was flip on the TV and have Uncle Walter (or one of his clones) tell them what to think. Sad. They miss his "That's the way it is."

They saw a HUGE MARKET being ignored, and they created an organization to cater to it. Thats simply good business, and they are reaping the rewards. Whats amusing is the rest of the media attempts to dispute it, even while they get their ass kicked month after month, year after year. Although I've noticed some interesting changes at ABC and CBS in the past six months in how they are reporting stories.
