The chart above showing the relationship between the Koch brothers' net worth and the number of people they employ. And so we see that the net wealth of the Koch brothers has grown, but that wealth has not trickled down in the form of job creation at their company. In fact, the Koch brothers have been JOB DELETERS in favor of padding their bank accounts. I bet if I found the data it would show salaries of their remaining employees have also been reduced. The ExxonMobil chart above also shows the lack of correlation between rising income and "job creation". How long will you GOP/conservative/libertarian suckers keep arguing that the rich should be left alone because they are "job creators"?

I know you are a moron, I said why I think realistically NAFTA can't be overturned. It is like getting a tattoo - yea it can be removed but its painfully difficult to do so and would cost a trade war. Taxing the NAFTA profits, past and present would correct the imbalance. We had 20 years of this economic ideology - 30+ if you add in Reaganomics and it has failed. Low taxes does not fix anything. Rich people / corporations getting richer did not lead to more permanent jobs nor increases in salaries. It is an ideological failure.

I agree, they probably spent many millions on lobbyists and bribes getting those agreements in place, so it should be all gravy from here on out.

Destro said so, and I agreed with his logic that the less painful and easier to carry out corrective action is to tax the wealth back. Also, even if NAFTA was repealed Destro would still tax the wealth gained from that period until today at 90% (I assume Eisenhower era levels). So either way, the rich -aka job destroyers - would get the IRS swarming on them like locusts.

The rich should be responsible for selling an economic system that failed. Just like automobile companies are responsible for recalls for a failure, the rich and corporations are RESPONSIBLE for the economic failure of the American low tax and free trade system that has not created more jobs and has not increased incomes over the last 30 years.

The blow back would be the jobs coming back. We need to repeal NAFTA and replace it with tariffs on foreign goods. The tariff should make foreign goods more expensive then American goods by about 10 percent. If they pay their workers a dollar a day. The tariff should be enough to take that into account plus 10 percent. You don't like Americans having jobs. You are already on record want America to crash and burn.
Everything said here today is basically speculation. But no agreement passes without support and those that have made the most profit have supported their creation and positioned themselves from the start. And you can take that to the bank.

As I see it, at this point freedom of action to correct the failed globalized American economy is limited to two avenues for the American people. One is to undo all those free trade treaties signed in the last 20 years. It can be done but it would be difficult and lead to possible trade wars. In the short term it would be devastating to the economy if that was the case. A more readily available solution is to take back the wealth from the top 2% of the population that made their fortunes in the last 2 decades in large part due to outsourcing and return (not transfer but RETURN) that money back to the rest of the population in the forms of government services like universal health care and investment in the nation's future (NASA, infrastructure, education). The promises made by the top 2% via politicians and experts failed to materialize as promised. It is only fair that the rest of the 98% of the population who suffered from this failure are compensated back. Standing in our way are most Republicans and some Democrats (that seems to be the ratio) who still carry water for the oligarchs that stole our fortunes away. How long will this go on before we correct their error? RECALL. The law is to be recalled. The Profits of the rich from the last 30 years is to be REFUNDED. I Call for a REFUND to the money clearly taken form the 98% of the population and transferred to the top 2% based on the top 2% supporting an economic system Regaonmics+ Free trade that did not perform as promised. The economic right wing ideology is RECALLED by the people and the money hereby REFUNDED back to them.

I agree with you. Rush would have been a good ally back then and maybe it could have been defeated. I listen to Rush. He is entertaining. He digs up good dirt on the democrats. I pretty much stopped listening to him during the Bush years. He was to much of a cheerleader for Bush and his illegal war. So I kind of like Rush on some issues and strongly disagree with him on some others. Like I said he is still fun to listen to though. Lately though I have just had my sandisk filled with lots of hard rock on random play hooked up to my Dewalt radio. No commercials just good rock n roll music.
Using Koch as a boogeyman is a wasted task. I don't even know what the guy looks like. Most Americans probably 80 percent have never heard of him. People don't pay to much attention like you and I do.
It doesn't hurt to educate Americans to where the money originates in some of these 'grassroots' movements.

Limbaugh sells tea. I doubt that he went out and built a new factory and hired employees for it. Most likely he subbed it out - to Snapple, maybe? - and they produce it for him. Curiously, Snapple is in Irving Tx, which is between Fort Worth and Dallas, the location Limbaugh says his tea is produced. In any event any new people hired for his project would be minimal.
There must be a vast worldwide demand for a new brand of tea. Or else he, like the gold sellers, realize what a dupe the average Tea Bagger is.

There's a demand by suckers for an overpriced bottle of tea. It is cheaper than overpriced gold commemorative coins, after all. Remember his hideous ties from the 1990s? Now we have had 20 years of this economic philosophy and the experiment has failed for most Americans. The American people have every right to ask for their money back from the he top 1% to 2% of the population that lied to them about the benefits of this new economy. If a new model automobile performed as poorly as the globalized economy did it would have been recalled already.
