US futures are down modestly in ultra-early trading, but the real disaster: gold and silver, both of whom have been getting wiped out lately. Form FinViz, this quick look at the previous metals "complex" tells you all you need to know. Silver, of course, is in the worst shape, as it's been making big down moves like this day after day, and is now about to be 50% lower from its late-April high. Gold, of course, was above $1900/oz just a few days ago. If you haven't seen a multi-year silver futures chart, you're really missing out.

Everything fluctuates short term. What is the long-term trend? The long term trend for the dollar is farewell and adieu... Bernanke is systemically destroying the dollar under the spell of some deluded Keynesian haze in which near zero interest rates are somehow helpful to people who want to save and invest in the future. U.S. debt holders including the Chinese, Japanese and Saudis understand what is going on. The only people who don't get it are clueless graduates of America's government monopoly schools.
Great chart & article. With 90% still looking to buy the dip, this Mania will now break into a rout. It's gonna hurt. Triple Digit Gold and low teens Silver by January.
