Almost three years ago millions of Americans were marking a supposed new dawn as they celebrated voting in their first black president.

But Oscar-winning actor Morgan Freeman claims racism in the U.S. has actually got worse since Barack Obama took office in January 2009.

The film star, who played Nelson Mandela in 2009 film Invictus, told CNN the President has become a target for the Tea Party's 56;racist57; aggression.

He backed President Obama during his election campaign and said the Tea Party’s anti-Obama stance is racist, reported the Huffinton Post.

‘Their stated policy, publicly stated, is to do whatever it takes to see to it that Obama only serves one term,’ he told Piers Morgan on CNN.

‘What underlines that? “Screw the country. We're going to do whatever we can to get this black man out of here”.’

Mr Morgan is concerned by the rise of the Tea Party, a right-wing Republican arm that supports presidential candidate Michele Bachmann.

‘It just shows the weak, dark, underside of America,’ he told CNN. ‘We're supposed to be better than that. We really are.

'And then it just sort of started turning because these people surfaced like stirring up muddy water.'

Mr Morgan said that Americans would be 'shooting themselves in the head' if they get rid of President Obama next year after just one term at the White House.

More than 50 per cent of Americans say President Obama is at fault for the dismal state of their economy, a poll revealed on Thursday.

This was a majority for the first time since he took office and will be another concern to a President with an ever-growing list of problems.

According to IMDB, Freeman was born in 1937 in Memphis. He grew up in the south.

I'm sure he has experienced racism in his life. But you know what? Everyone goes through crap in their lives - no one gets out unscathed.

For being born and raise in such an awful, racist country - I'd say he's done pretty well

Southern California GOP member sent out an email to fellow party members last Friday, depicting President Obama as the child of apes. It’s just the latest in a series of highly racialized attempts to discredit the president’s legitimacy to hold office.

“Now you know why — No birth certificate!” Marilyn Davenport, tea party activist and member of the central committee of the Orange County Republican Party, wrote under the image sent out last Friday.

Local Republican leaders are now calling for her resignation. While the group’s laws prevent a vote to remove Davenport, Orange County Republican Party Chairman Scott Baugh told the Associated Press that he wants to launch an ethics investigation about the incident and thinks Davenport should step down from the committee. Carl Paladino, the Tea Party candidate who won the Republican primary for the nomination for Governor of New York, has a history of controversial veiws and racist jokes. Paladino sent a video, popular on the neo-Nazi website, Stormfront, showing African tribesmen titled “Obama Inauguration Rehearsal,” a picture of Barack Obama dressed like a pimp and Michelle Obama dressed like a prostitute, a picture of a plane crashing into a group of Africans with the title “Run Niggers Run” and a video called “Proof The Irish Discovered Africa” that featured monkeys dancing in emails that were recently uncovered.

You can never go wrong by telling slow people or emotionally insecure people that they are victims,and that they would be twice as successful,wealthy,and good-looking if somebody hadn't unfairly held them back.

And there ain't a group of people in the world more mentally and emotionally insecure than entertainers.
