If you’ve noticed a lack of Ron Paul in the mainstream media’s coverage of the 2012 presidential race, it might not be an accident. After he placed first in a Fox News poll, the outlet has removed the results from their website without explanation.

Fox had launched an online poll to gauge readers’ opinions on last night’s Republican show-down and asked their audience, “Which GOP presidential candidate do you think won the Fox News/Google debate?” At one point Paul placed in first, with 30 percent of the votes, but a reader of Infowars.com has pointed out that the poll has disappeared from the website, or has been shuffled to another page far from the front of Fox’s political coverage.

Logging onto the poll now produces an error in which the user is told “No content item selected.”

A screen shot of the poll produced by Infowars shows that Paul led with 24,8945 votes, with Mitt Romney trailing in second place with 22,656 votes, of 27 percent of the total. Rick Perry placed third with 15 percent of the votes, followed by Herman Cain with 9 percent.

Speaking from the stage during last night’s debate, Paul reminded the audience that he has been placing quite well in most surveys as of late. The mainstream media, however, continues to ignore him, despite pleasant polling.

When quizzed during last night’s debate from Orlando, Florida on whom he might consider as a running mate, Paul deterred the question and noted that he wouldn’t bother selecting anyone until he made it in the “top two.” In the meantime, Paul said, he was running in third in most national polls.

The mainstream media continues to overlook Paul, however, favoring Rick Perry and Mitt Romney as the frontrunners, and unexplainably offering more airtime to Michele Bachmann. Speaking to CNN yesterday, former presidential candidate and long-time activist Ralph Nader said he thought Paul was perhaps most appealing of the current GOP candidates.

“He wants to get out of these wars overseas, he wants to bring the soldiers back, he wants to cut the bloated military budget, he wants to change some of the anti-civil liberty provisions in the Patriot Act, he hates corporate welfare an all these bailouts of Wall Street crooks,” said Nader. “He ought to get more attention, instead of ten times more attention being given to Michele Bachmann.”

A USA Today/Gallup poll released on Tuesday put Paul as the number three candidate in the GOP race, receiving nearly three times the favor of Bachmann. In New Hampshire, where the first primary of the 2012 race will take place this winter, Paul came in second place, between Mitt Romney in first and Jon Huntsman in second.

There were a whole bunch of headlines in news papers over the last couple of days that essentially said this:

New Hampshire Poll: Romney on top, Huntsman third.

Who is second?????? Ron Paul.

More evidence that the dinosaur media is on the way to becoming extinct.

Of course not.

He challenges the status quo, and represents a threat to the monied interests which own our government lock, stock and barrel.

Hannity is dumber than dirt.

I love the Fox Business network... It's much more libertarian than the neo-commie Fox News network.

Mitt Romney surges in N.H., but No. 2 Ron Paul gets no media love

old.news.yahoo.com/s/csm/20110922/ts_csm/410869

Washignton – New polling data shows Mitt Romney cruising in New Hampshire, with nearly quadruple the support of Jon Huntsman, the GOP candidate in third place. Wait, why’d you skip to the third place guy? Who’s in second?

Texas Congressman Ron Paul, of course.

Even though Huntsman and Paul both gained the same amount (six percentage points) since the last Suffolk University poll in June, and Paul has 14 percent support to Huntsman’s 10 percent, Decoder isn’t seeing any media love being thrown Paul’s way this morning.

This, despite the fact that the canned, ready-to-be-quoted bit from the Suffolk press release gives equal billing to Paul’s improvement alongside Huntsman’s.

“Mitt Romney is saying ‘get out of my back yard’ and making New Hampshire his strong firewall despite showing some weakness in the other states’ early primaries,” said David Paleologos, director of Suffolk University’s Political Research Center. “The anti-Romney candidate at this point could be either Ron Paul, who has polled consistently over the past year, or Jon Huntsman, whose numbers are really growing in the Granite State.”

Decoder would also point out: Among second-choice candidates - meaning if your first-choice candidate were to drop out, who would you then support? - Romney edges Perry at 21 percent to 20 percent, followed by… you guessed it, Ron Paul at 9 percent.

SOUND OFF on Facebook: Is the "Ron Paul can't get no respect" theme more that just campaign spin?

One reason Huntsman’s bump in New Hampshire may be attracting more attention: because it’s pretty much the first real movement for him in any poll anywhere (see RealClearPolitics’ great polling data to see his historical polls, which have all been sub-six percent). And it comes amid a plethora of signs that Huntsman’s campaign has been floundering. (Decoder recently wondered if it was time for Huntsman to give it up.)

Huntsman has now moved staff out of his other early primary state (Florida) and brought them to the Granite State. As such, we may have to wait for the next poll to see whether this one is an aberration or if Huntsman’s New-Hampshire-or-bust strategy is actually paying off.

Still, as Decoder wrote yesterday, the “Ron Paul can’t get no respect” theme isn’t all campaign spin.

He did better than in the previous debates, but sorry, he didn't 'win' it by any stretch of the imagination unless you are already worshipping at the altar of Paul.

I'm not.

Why is it that some Americans can like Perry for president, or Romney, or Palin, but that's not worship?

Why is it that some people can like Paul for president, and that IS worship?

I think it's only worship in your mind.

Its not 'some' its a majority. As to the answer, its because the primaries will end, and 99% of those supporting the other nominees will support THE Nominee on election day.

That percentage is about 40% among the Ron Paul supporters. They'd rather write RON PAUL IN, then help ensure the worst POTUS since Woodrow Wilson (forget Carter now) and maybe of ALL TIME gets fired next year.

Thats the difference between political reality and 'political worship'.

JMHO. btw, I suspect Ron Paul will write in Ron Paul lol

Ron Pauls just to nice a guy for this age of Political graft.

Most Americans would want the Jeckyll Island Fed hell and gone....would they be slowed down long enough to be shown.
Most have so many diverse concerns which range from desperation due to the economy,....to the Party crowd who are/have money.

Truthers get it....their time on the net has shown them via the resources still available.
Most have no clue.....they think the problem is gov spending....they have no idea of the history of the offshore fractional bankers and their rape of America.

"If the American people ever allow private banks to control the issue of their currency, first by inflation, then by deflation, the banks and corporations that will grow up around them will deprive the people of all property until their children wake up homeless on the continent their Fathers conquered."

"I believe that banking institutions are more dangerous to our liberties than standing armies..."[Thomas Jefferson]

Its Ron Pauls last run around the track,.....whose voice will replace his?

I wish Ron Paul would anoint some Hellfire speaker type to sound these theme's and bash the Media.....use the attention,...to get the message out.

We try on the intermediate level via posting and links.

We need a new voice/representative......someone with Fire and urgency within them.

Perry either finds better handlers who can teach him to think and speak,...or the Bilderbergs and other Elite will pull the plug on him and give it to Mitt Romney.

I think they wanted Obama for 4 more,....but he is to toxic....and his numbers have tanked.
Even though the Globalists could'nt give a shitt about America,....they do expect their sock puppet actors ...to act.
Obama's angry glare shows the ride of the Globalists is no fun at all.

A side joke is its so bad.....He' can't even sneak a smoke anymore.
I doubt Bush stopped drinking and choking on pretzels.....so....its hard for them when the handlers are not around.

Yeah, you're right about that.

But making sure that Obama gets fired, and replaced with the likes of a Perry or Romney is like scraping as much shit as you can get off of a shit sandwich but still eating the shitty bread.

Or turning down that shit sandwich in favor of a cold glass of piss.

Of course I don't agree with every one of Paul's views, but he is THE most conservative man running. So it's not that I worship Paul, it's that the other candidates aren't conservatives or nearly conservative enough.

I'm telling you, I'm a conservative and I'm not going to be able to vote for a Perry or Romney or even Bachmann. I simply can't do it, anymore than I could eat or drink those items listed above.

I'm a Conservative as well, but my view is the economy is in such dire shape I simply have to support the best Businessman running.

For my money thats Romney. We desperately need 48 months of a POTUS focused on economic issues across the board.

JMHO.
