While the mainstream media portray America as dang near uninhabitable because of President Bush and Republican control over the U.S. Congress, those who care should at least consider the “rest of the story” as Paul Harvey would say. Under the leadership of G.W. Bush and the GOP, the American economy is flourishing. The stock market is setting new records on a daily basis, unemployment is at a level once considered “full employment,” families have more of their own money to spend on what they wish because of tax cuts, inflation is in check, and housing prices are moving from “extravagant exuberance” to more reasonable reflections of fair market value. As for the global warming pandemic that Al Gore has worked tirelessly to create, the inconvenient fact is that that phenomena, if it exists at all, is mostly attributable to hot air excreted by Gore and the legion of loony leftists who support the bloated former vice president. And with just a month to go in the hurricane season, Gore and company are wringing their chubby hands in angst. That is because the Democrats were expecting (hoping for) a non-stop assault on the U.S. mainland by Category 5 storms that could be blamed on environmental malpractice and or malfeasance by the Bush administration. But to the utter and complete dismay of the left, there have been zero—I said zero—Bush hurricanes to hit America in 2006. Which means that liberals have lost another “issue” with which to hoodwink voters in November. That lost issue explains the timing of the Mark Foley scandal orchestrated by Howard Dean and Democratic operatives embedded in the New York Times, Washington Post, and other unreliable sources in the liberal mainstream media. Without killer storms to blame on Bush, Dean beat a hasty retreat to his “Dirty Tricks” bag and pulled out the single-page, thin file marked “GOP Sex Scandals.” Ignoring the “Do not leak before October 30” warning, Dean entered the scandal data into his 2006 Election Results Forecast software and determined that the issue could help Democrats. He also chose to ignore the asterisked footnote reading “Caution--Use Only as last resort. Could backfire by offending gay base.” With any luck, the collective wisdom and patriotic spirit of the American voting public will prevail on November 7. In that eventuality, the cynical anti-Bush and anti-American agenda offered by reckless Democrats will be exposed and soundly rejected!
