On Sept. 20, the “don’t ask, don’t tell” policy banning gays from serving openly will be stripped from the military’s rulebook. For gay Marines, official repeal will be a historic day, comparable to the moment 63 years ago when President Truman ordered the services to end racial segregation.
For straight Marines, this will bring changes, too. “That’s gay” — a pervasive phrase used throughout the Corps to express dislike for almost anything — will no longer be tolerated. Equal treatment will be a must. And yes, some gay Marines will bring dates to the Marine Corps Birthday Ball in November.
With the end of “don’t ask” just days away, this week’s cover story includes the stories of several gay Marines who wanted to share their views on repeal and the future of the Marine Corps. Gay Marines interviewed for the story include:
– A corporal in the infantry, based at Camp Pendleton, Calif.
– A major at Quantico, Va.
– An infantry officer and company commander at Pendleton.
– A former enlisted Marine now enrolled at the Naval Academy
– And a field grade officer in California

By the way did you know that ferrets are of the Class Synapsida and the Sub Class Mammalia. Coral snakes are of the Class Sauropsida and the Sub Class Diapsida. Your little lesson in EVOLUTIONARY Cladistics for today. By the way Dimetrodons were of the Class Synapsida and the Order Pelycosauria.
We didn't evolve. But I am curious if Coral snakes eat ferrets?
How do you know. You have to remember that Genesis 1 is written from GOD'S point of view. God probably made the creation at close to the SPEED OF LIGHT and Eienstein's Special Throry of Relativity shows that time at the near light speeds is quite a bit different from time at our normal slow speeds. Billions of years could well have passed on the earth in what would have been 6 24 hour days from God's near lightspeed point of view. What looked like a near instantianious creation of life during the "days" whern it was created could have in fact been the multi hundred million year gradual refinement of life known as EVOLUTION to god working at near lightspeed.
You are adding to scripture. Also there was no death before sin. Evolution says dying and killing existed before sin. Making God a liar. Are you going to the dark side?
Try reading your Bible without the fundie baggage the televangelist clowns and fundie preachers give you. (like that fear mongering hell doctrine which is just as bad as their anti science attitude.) There was plant and animal death before sin. The Bible spacifically says that YE (meaning Adam and Eve) shall surely die if they ate the forbidden fruit. It says nothing about the penalty being added to the condition of animals and plants after sin. Jusus saved ALL of us from that "death" weather or not we accept some organized fundie religion's interpretation of him and his words.
Hey. Pssst. Hell is in the Bible. If you don't believe in Hell you might as well throw your bible in the trash because you can't pick and choose. What scriptural basis do you have to say there is no hell. Because that is dumb coral snake. Now don't get mad I like you and all but that is a dumb statement.
