Title: Tea Party Audience Cheers Letting The Uninsured Die

The audience Monday night’s CNN Tea Party Express Republican primary debate was eager to see the death of a hypothetical man who was in a coma and also did not have health care insurance.

CNN’s Wolf Blitzer posed this question to Republican presidential candidate Ron Paul: “A healthy young, 30-year-old man has a good job, makes a good living but decides, ‘You know what? I’m not going to spend $200 or $300 a month on health insurance because I’m healthy, I don’t need it.’ But something terrible happens, all the sudden he needs it. What’s going to happen if he goes into a coma? Who pays for that?”

“What he should do is whatever he wants to do,” Paul replied. “That’s what freedom is all about, taking your own risks. This whole idea that you have to prepare to take care of everybody…”

“Are you saying society should just let him die?” Blitzer asked.

The audience responded with shouts of “Yes!”

“We’ve given up on this concept that we might take care of ourselves, assume responsibility for ourselves, our neighbors, our friends, our churches would do it,” Paul explained. “This is the reason the cost is so high… We have lack of competition. There’s no competition in medicine. Everybody’s protected by licensing ”

Watch this video from CNN’s Tea Party Debate, broadcast Sept. 12, 2011.

“Are you saying society should just let him die?” Blitzer asked.

The audience responded with shouts of “Yes!”

And that's the decision he made asswipe.

And so YES. If he chooses that path then he is responsible.

Same as if he takes up an extreme sport...he should know the risk. And hope he has family or some friendly support in the event of something bad occurring.

But...the absolute bottom most clarity on this you worthless nanny statist ballsack piggish thug.....is that society has absolutely zero......ZERO....responsibility to be forced to pay for his choices and risks.

Force is the operative word.

If I knew the guy I'd likely help him out .... and that's they way it should be.

Otherwise he means nothing to me anymore than some tribesman in Papua New Guinea who gets hurt tracking some animal in a jungle.

Neither the tribesman nor the dude RP mentioned are my either ethical, moral or legal responsibility.

You doltish thugs think forced compassion is real compassion.

What it is constitues theft.

Piss off .... thief.

Death to everybody who does not get outta my way. (decided to retire the beatdowns on old worthless retread posters that are bozoed)

So, are you waving the 'dead baby' prop to justify this sort of thinking bub? You are real fond of hiding behind this rhetorical prop. Put that issue aside a moment and address lack of concern for the lives of others at other stages of the human life span.

Do you like some feel that life is a pay to play affair? Or are you afraid to come out from behind your favorite ideological smoke screen?

I think you are.

Because believe it or not, there are actually Republicans who are for abortion to. (*GASP!* stop the presses!) Are you afraid to address this fact too?

You repeat the same baby mantra and run. Stay and expand and expound on the value of life Stone. Don't be scared, we don't bite; much. Chicken?

FAR RIGHT STILL LYING ABOUT SCIENCE OF FETAL DEVELOPMENT For decades, the Far Right anti-choice movement has been lying to Americans about the science of fetal development. Now they are formulating and introducing legislation to try and undermine Roe using the myth of fetal pain. They have frightened women and their families with stories of the fetus (unborn baby) in agony, feeling pain from abortion.

The above quote is from Republicans for Choice. Comment on that or the defense of Dr. Tiller article at the Republicans for Chioce site if you are too scared to advocate for life for post natal people.

Gee...and he wasn't gay...

As I said, you are frightened at the thought of doing anything but waving a dead baby around. You are hiding from direct questions and anything other then trying to talk about Democrats for abortion.

Thanks for coming out for terroristic murder by the way. You prove my point you are actually not very pro-life unless it is solely concerning the unborn. Killing Dr. Tiller was a dumb thing to do and helps polorize the issue enough to stall out the anti-abortion advocacy.

Most people in the U.S. believe in the political process, not murdering whom you hate for ideological reasons.

I am also an environmentalist who hates the Earth liberation Front because their actions of arson and destruction polarize people against what I believe in.

What Dr. Tillar worked in was a spacialized area of abortion services that has a high demand and much profit. Someone will always be willing to replace him.

Killing him makes it harder to make abortion illegal as it keeps people who are repeled by the bloody use of force to achieve political ends.

You are very myopic in your support of killing to achieve an end to other kinds of death.

I feel you would actually hate abortion to be gone as it would make it harder for you to be so intellectually lazy about speaking in advocay for all human life; not just concerning the unborn.

You have unanswered questions here. Go to the Republicans for life website; speak out against them; or are you to scared to? Well?

What if a born baby goes into a coma and the family has no insurance? Are you for taxpayer funded health care for children? They can't make a choice. The answer Stone gave before when I asked him this is no. So Stone is for letting born babies die of neglect, also.

With the economy still in the dumper -- maybe permanently? -- and full-time jobs becoming as scarce as rain during a drought, huge percentages of Americans have had their (misplaced) faith in the American dream shaken, the upper-middle-class consumerist lifestyle is exposed as a mirage for anybody who plays by the rules. Capitalism and the America that embraced it as a way of life is now and forever more a failure. It does me good to know that the generation that voted in Reagan and his ideology will see their America die from that ideology before their very own eyes and knowing they had a hand in its destruction.

The progressives will refuse to help the baby until a tax hike is signed into law. Raise taxes, or the baby dies!

"What if an uninsured pregnant woman goes into a coma?"

I see a callous using of this issue as a political tool to get Democrats. I posted to him about Republicans for Choice eary this morning and raised life issues with him, but all he had to say is a snip at me for voting Obama calling him a baby murderer.

He is not seriously a proponent for human life. He is an ideolog pimping an issue.

On the other hand demoncrats will just murder little cute babies and call it a right.

Progressives in America, including the founder of Planned Parenthood, supported eugenics in the name of bettering the human race. They initiate forced sterilization programs in America.

The Nazis in Germany leveraged the work American progressives did to design and implement their programs.
