A local businessman writing somewhere has excused Romeny's problems in Massachusetts as being the result of a hostile legislature. I am sure that when the topic of "OBAMA" arises he will be just as quick to excuse any perceived failing that GOP sympaticos care to mention: ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
'Another factor is Massachusettss political climate. Romney didnt get to work with a conservative GOP legislature, like Perry and Huntsman did. Instead, he faced such a hostile legislature that out of the over 800 line-item vetoes he made, the legislature overrode more than 700.'
Gee, I wonder why he didn't try to address the skyhigh cost of doing business there in the one term he had.......
I suppose he could have just not bothered line item veto's of any of this, like Bush did for eight years, and be a moderate/progressive on budgetary matters, right?
It amazes me it is being asserted we cannot accept this guy's private sector accomplishments - unless its a negative aspect - but we MUST consider his record while in office, WITHOUT considering the state legislature he had to work with.
But if its Rick Perry...we must accept his being a lifelong politician, with no discernible private sector experiencw worth a resume' slot, and IGNORE he had a Republican legislature, no state income taxes, and abundent natural resources.
