Ron Paul is an embarrassment, and his ego driven campaigning for POTUS takes up valuable time. I've got a better chance winning both the GOP nomination, AND the general election cycle than this increasingly incoherent, arrogant, crank.

I don't think Bachman can or will win the nomination. Perry supporeted Al Gore. That waa right after Reagan. Romney governed as a liberal Rebpulican. I for one am not voting for any Rinos. So if Ron Paul doesn't win I will have to vote third party. So you folks that don't support Ron Paul better get on board unless you want 4 more years of Obama. People who call themselves Republicans but don't support Ron Paul. You know what that tells me. It tells me that constitutional domestic issues are trumped by the desire for wars with other countries.
Not sure I agree with your premise regarding "RINOS" It seems, based on the performance of elected republicans, that the GOP favors big government, big donors, big social programs, open borders and killing large numbers of people. That defines a republican. The RINO is Ron Paul - just my opinion - "So if Ron Paul doesn't win I will have to vote third party." Ron Paul is the only "republican" I will vote for - if he is not the gop candidate - I will vote for gridlock. Stone..seriously, after 45 minutes, Ron Paul was having trouble speaking COHERENTLY. Forget what he was saying, go back and just watch him stutter, watch as he struggles to focus. I think the man is brilliant in many aspects. But I damn sure don't want him anywhere near the Oval Office except for a photo op. He's so far past his prime it actually became painful to watch and hear him in the last 30 minutes last night. As for how any of them 'governed'...my friend, we are so far past 'conservative' or 'liberal' at this moment as a nation. You know I'm a conservative on almost every topic you can name...but we don't have the time or luxuary for 'ideology'. We have to get back to BUSINESS, and in a hurry. This country is bleeding out financially, the average American is now frightened when they consider their personal future five years out, let alone in retirement, if they even still believe they'll be able to 'retire'. Ron Paul has ZERO CHANCE of being elected to anything, anything at all outside of his weird district in Texas. He's a political cult leader, thats it. Thats not to say he isn't right on a few things. He is. But he's so far wrong on some very big issues its truly stunning he's on that stage as a nominee.

But I'll tell you what, if we did that and took the air conditioning out of the Green Zone, our troops would come home, and that would make me happy. (APPLAUSE)

ESAD. I love Ron Paul. I volunteered for him in 1988. But he is looking more and more decrepit every day. He's not a young man. He's not going to be elected President. Who is his heir apparent? It could have been Gary Johnson who was the Governor of New Mexico. Unfortunately, because Paul is in the race, Johnson isn't showing up in the polls so he isn't invited to the debates.
Ron Paul is a great, honorable man. But he has never been a good public speaker. Never. I also had a hard time following his train of thought last night. After his last couple of debate performances, I suspect that his age is also playing a factor here. He's aged a lot in the last 4 years. He hasn't looked good on stage at all this year. I feel sad, but we all get old. I think it was a mistake for Paul to run this year. He should have endorsed Gary Johnson.

No, this is not a vanity run. Unlike most politicians, Ron Paul actually believes in something. His decades in office have shown him that very few other people can be trusted to follow their rhetoric. Ron Paul is running to educate others. He has had a huge impact. Who besides Ron Paul has been pushing for an audit of the secretive operations of the Federal Reserve over the last few years? No one. Now, everyone is on board with shedding some light on their operations to make them more transparent and accountable.
It's a dream. Sitting on the couch watching Ron Paul TV with 'the wife'. No wonder you drink.

He's made ridiculous comparisions to the Cold War era twice in the last month, neither of which are remotely valid. The other one was his assertion that the Soviet Union's nuclear arsenal during the Cold War was comparable to Iran's desire to obtain a nuclear weapon.

We need to build a strong, reliable system to enable employers to verify the legal authorization of someone to obtain employment within the United States, and accompany that with strong enough penalties against the employer to discourage hiring illegal employees. And I've said for years penalties for corporations hiring illegals should be criminal in nature, and apply to CEO's, CFO's, and COO's. Substantial civil penalties for anyone on the Board of Directors not also among the previous 3 I cite here. And a 100% tax on the previous years profits and the year the offense was discovered. btw, we already have a strong, verifiable system for ensuring the applicants are legal. There just isn't any penalty for not using it worht mentioning.

All you need is a driver's license and Social Security card to get a job. Many state governments enable illegals to get drivers' licenses. There is a huge black market for Social Security cards. So, on top of the world's most complicated tax code and regulatory structure, that are crushing business, you now also want to jail CEOs, CFO's and COO's for hiring people with driver's licenses and Social Security cards, that maybe might be illegal. This will be another reason for businesses not to hire anyone and instead move their operations to Mexico. Welcome to Obama-land. Have fun.

The fact is much of the terrain doesn't require a much of a physical barrier at all. This from someone who lives in Ohio. Ah...and your point? Its based upon my profession, JW. There are vast tracts where a physical barrier (one that actually makes it difficult to cross) isn't whats called for due to the terrain, either on the exact 'border' or due to whats beyond it on our side of it. Its more effective to put up signage, and cover it with drones/camera's/etc in terms of cost and in terms of security.

First, both leftists and neo-cons still believe that the ends justify the means. So they will do anything to get what they want. We saw this with the lies that they neo-cons told while trying to justify the invasion of Iraq. Conservatives don't believe that the ends justify the means. Second, both leftists and neo-cons resort to character assassination of the most vile kind when they are losing an argument. If you disagree with a leftist, you will be attacked as a racist, sexist, or homophobe. If you disagree with a neo- con, you will be attacked as an anti-Semite, just ask Ron Paul and Pat Buchanan about this.
