I know guy in his late 20's who has survived three years so far, not that it's been easy. He's lost use of his kidneys and is in a slow decline. Still, the other people I've known with the disease haven't lasted much more than three months.
Like Bill Gates, he started a company in his garage with little money. He persisted and helped usher in the world that we have today. In the process he (and Gates) created technologies that disrupted almost every industry that you can think of and put them on more affordable, effective foundations.
Apple (and Microsoft) were each started with nothing but two people who had a vision of how their products could make society better. They made a ton of money and in the process and they shared in their success -- both companies created a plethora of millionaire investors and employees. Microsoft created 10,000 millionaire employees. Not sure how many Apple created, but it was a bunch. As a result they were demonized by lazy, envious people on the left.
Godspeed to Steve Jobs. He is one of the few true heroes of our time.

I was at Microsoft in the 1990s when they didn't have have much of a lobbying effort.
Then, Bill Clinton and his bulldog Janet Reno hauled Microsoft into court on the behest of Microsoft competitors like, Google, Sun and Oracle.
The government crashed Microsoft stock and it cost me a ton of money.
Today, Microsoft has built a huge lobbying effort to PROTECT THEMSELVES. This is a tragedy for them and for our country.
Apple gets the consumer space. Microsoft is more focused on IT. They are both great companies. But leftists pick sides based on campaign contributions.
Unfortunately, dumb leftist don't understand that we are in a global economy where every American company is facing competition from abroad.
That is one of many problems that leftists pose to out country.
