After Washington DC realized that the earthquake was nothing to worry about, they took to Twitter to joke about the source of the quake. Some of the best ones below:

@TPCarney: Krugman says it wasn't big enough.

@comradescott: Evidently the quake occurred on a little known fault line outside of DC called "Bush's Fault". #tcot #p2

@calebhowe: Breaking: Obama administration points out they "inherited" fault lines from previous administrations.

@MaizeBlueNation: Fox News claims the Washington monument is leaning to the right, MSNBC claims it's leaning to the left. More news at 11.

@charliespiering: I won't stop shaking until Obama makes a speech telling me that everything is ok and that he has a plan

@Ben_Howe: As all of DC leaves work at the same time, the United States experiences a brief economic recovery.

@daveweigel: Was all set to loot in Dupont circle, then realized all we have are taco and cupcake stores.

@BrianHughes_: I wish I owned a bar in D.C. right now. #chaching

2 things:

1: Assume the reactors are now in meltdown.

2: Assume the Nuke Plant Operator is lying.

Ex:

Why is the Virginia Nuke venting steam now?

O, and don't leave your pets behind in evac, cause they will be shot...just sayin'....;}

It always vents steam, they have cooling stations that always put out steam. In the wintertime vehicles in the parking lot overnight will have ice on them in the morning from it. I worked @ North Anna in the late 70s & early 80s and lived in Mineral for 3 years, I know these things.

I know these things.

Then better get over there right away!

You know shit. Especially as you;ve said ZERO about Fukushima and the other 5 nukes undergoing meltdown as I type.

And the Steam is coming out on ONE reactor. And not out of any stack.

Better take a look at the vids. OR maybe youare and not caring to comment?

Rule Number One:

Nuke Plant Operators Lie. They must.

Steam vents are there for a purpose, they're just doing their job. The radioactive water is contained, the steam comes from the clean stuff in heat exchangers, doing exactly what they were designed to do. And Lake Anna ain't the Pacific, no need to sweat a tsunami.

BTW, here's something to give anti-nuke kooks nightmares, they're going to build a third reactor there, the paperwork has been filed, some construction may even be underway as we speak. They were originally building 4 but Jimmy Carter's 3 Mile Island bed wetting regulations made it too expensive to continue at the time and they canceled the last 2, after spending billions (in today's dollar) on them.

no need to sweat a tsunami.

Hey and I bet Martians are Not going to be landing either!

Whatever thefuck a tsunami has to do with anything EXCEPT to try and discredit me and my arguemnets.

Good Luck on that one after saying ZERO on Japan and Fukushima.

I bet you actually thinkl they have those nukes under control over there, eh?

LMFAO

So you're a Nuke Plant Operator. Just one of many who've been quiet as church mice.

All 442 nukes are going to melt down.

I'm just wondering which 50 mile Radius of the US will be uninhabitable forever within the next 20 years.

And of course since Every Nuke is on a Fault line and on top of Very Large Fresh Water Source(s), that 50 mile radius circle will be painfully introduced....;}

@Lil:

“I have a cesium release data sheet showing cesium releases from all reactors for 1993 and they all release radioactive material from time to time.”

I believe that is your answer. Those who feel it is safe to live within 50 miles of a nuclear power plant are in for a big surprise someday. The PTB definitely don’t believe in “transparency.” o CookedGoose August 24, 2011 at 9:01 am Log in to Reply

Sadly, that’s EVERYONE on the East Coast.

To VaMom, my brothers at Liberty U, sorry for focusing on the worst case scenario but considering the potential mayhem caused by an actual meltdown I had to be able to tell him to go before everyone else figured it out.

The smartest thing the Chinese have done is keep their Missiles down to less than twenty.

They realized early on that ALL that was need was an EMP high inn the atmosphere. And then nuke the various Reactors...

The BosWash Corridor would be uninhabitable forever...
