If Rep. Michele Bachmann is a good Christian why is she running for elective office which is against the Christian teaching that women should not have authority over men?

"no woman [is] to teach or to have authority over a man; she is to keep silent" (1 Timothy 2:12).

NOT to Jesus Christ,

You might want to read their mission statement:

http://www.trinitychicago.org/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=20

Trinity United Church of Christ has been called by God to be a congregation that is not ashamed of the gospel of Jesus Christ and that does not apologize for its African roots! As a congregation of baptized believers, we are called to be agents of liberation not only for the oppressed, but for all of God’s family. We, as a church family, acknowledge, that we will, building on this affirmation of "who we are" and "whose we are," call men, women, boys and girls to the liberating love of Jesus Christ, inviting them to become a part of the church universal, responding to Jesus’ command that we go into all the world and make disciples!

Hey...did you know that the first religion in President Obama's life was Islam?

You mean when he was attending a Catholic school?

Wait....Let's consult our Muslim/African-Separatist-Fake-Christian-Theology handbook to see if that's ok.

No, I mean the second he was born to a Muslim father....and for the first six years of his life that Daddy taught him about Islam at home.

"Not god Bless America, NO NO NO! God DAMN America!"??

Falwell and Robertson think God has damned America

Then Falwell said, "What we saw on Tuesday, as terrible as it is, could be miniscule if, in fact, God continues to lift the curtain and allow the enemies of America to give us probably what we deserve."

Robertson replied, "Well, Jerry, that's my feeling. I think we've just seen the antechamber to terror, we haven't begun to see what they can do to the major population."

Falwell said, "The ACLU has got to take a lot of blame for this. And I know I'll hear from them for this, but throwing God...successfully with the help of the federal court system...throwing God out of the public square, out of the schools, the abortionists have got to bear some burden for this because God will not be mocked and when we destroy 40 million little innocent babies, we make God mad...I really believe that the pagans and the abortionists and the feminists and the gays and the lesbians who are actively trying to make that an alternative lifestyle, the ACLU, People for the American Way, all of them who try to secularize America...I point the finger in their face and say you helped this happen."

Robertson said, "I totally concur...

Did you ever actually read or listen to the full sermon? He attacked the government for its excesses, something you probably could identify with.

“The government gives them the drugs, builds bigger prisons, passes a three strike law and then wants us to sing God Bless America. Naw, naw, naw. Not God Bless America. God Damn America! That’s in the Bible. For killing innocent people. God Damn America for treating us citizens as less than human. God Damn America as long as she tries to act like she is God and she is Supreme."

-------

"Where government fail, God never fails. When God says it, it’s done. God never fails. When God wills it, you better get out the way, cause God never fails. When God fixes it, oh believe me it’s fixed. God never fails. Somebody right now, you think you can’t make it, but I want you to know that you are more than a conqueror through Christ. You can do all things through Christ who strengthens you.”

All this talk about Muslims so Liberator can ignore my question about how Christians can ignore the New Testament commandment that women should not have authority over men like Bachmann will have if she is elected president.

With the economy still in the dumper -- maybe permanently? -- and full-time jobs becoming as scarce as rain during a drought, huge percentages of Americans have had their (misplaced) faith in the American dream shaken, the upper-middle-class consumerist lifestyle is exposed as a mirage for anybody who plays by the rules. Capitalism and the America that embraced it as a way of life is now and forever more a failure. It does me good to know that the generation that voted in Reagan and his ideology will see their America die from that ideology before their very own eyes and knowing they had a hand in its destruction.

(0bama mentor, Rev. Wright: "Not god Bless America, NO NO NO! God DAMN America!"??)

Falwell and Robertson think God has damned America.

1) Neither has characterized it in the vicious manner and context 0bama's Black Separatist Cult pastor did. Wright celebrated 9/11.

2) Neither Falwell or Robertson were/are the pastor/"Uncle"/mentor of ANY U.S. Presidential candidate.

3) Given the context of 0bama's racism and animus against Whitey and America TO BEGIN WITH, Reverund Wright's "G-DAMN AMERICA" was nothing more than a frothing screed against White America.

As to Falwell's assessment as an actual Christian, the guy was right. God can indeed bless or curse a people for their respective infidelity or betrayal. Even the Founders acknowledged The Almighty's protection and blessing. Reject Him and His protection

The context is subtle but different to someone like you.

You: "Women should not have authority over men"

(1 Timothy 2:12): "no woman [is] to teach or to have authority over a man; she is to keep silent"

American King James Version:

"But I suffer not a woman to teach, nor to usurp authority over the man, but to be in silence."

The context is "teaching" the Word and displacing the man as a Spiritual leader. And NOT in the plural. Concepts that are foreign to you.

That disqualifies women form any authority as president, she would not be able to lead a prayer as president. Bachmann is according to you and scripture wrong when she opines on religion - she should shut up because her having religious opinions is offensive to God.

Capitalism and the America that embraced it as a way of life is now and forever more a failure. It does me good to know that the generation that voted in Reagan and his ideology will see their America die from that ideology before their very own eyes and knowing they had a hand in its destruction.

That disqualifies women form any authority as president...

WRONG. Nice try.

She would not be able to lead a prayer as president.

WRONG. Nice try. Lol.

Bachmann is according to you and scripture wrong when she opines on religion - she should shut up because her having religious opinions is offensive to God.

Hilarious. Thanks for laugh.

Okay, convince me you're not racist.

BTW, Mechelle didn't want her husband to run.

I'm a little concerned by your fascination with that image...

THIS wasn't a spectacle?? Even Sarkozy is laughing at him:

I'm thinking Bachmann's husband told her to run so it's ok.

That presents another problem. Women, per Bachmann are submissive to their husbands. How can she run for President when the power of her husband over her is stronger than her oath of office?

With the economy still in the dumper -- maybe permanently? -- and full-time jobs becoming as scarce as rain during a drought, huge percentages of Americans have had their (misplaced) faith in the American dream shaken, the upper-middle-class consumerist lifestyle is exposed as a mirage for anybody who plays by the rules. Capitalism and the America that embraced it as a way of life is now and forever more a failure. It does me good to know that the generation that voted in Reagan and his ideology will see their America die from that ideology before their very own eyes and knowing they had a hand in its destruction.
