Michelle Bachman took him down.

Yep, and the Obama campaign celebrated. Now if only she can get rid of Romney and Perry and win the nomination.

Do you just hate conservatives? Seriously. What is wrong with Bachman? Is is because she is a woman?

I think Perry could win it. I don't know if that would be good though.

She's a nut Stone. After she voted to raise the debt ceiling by $6 trillion over 8 years she now says she's opposed to any increase in the debt ceiling, a stance that directly led to the recent debt downgrade.

If your honest with yourself. You know the budget is way to big. They needed more spending cuts. If they had taken Rand Pauls proposal there would have been no downgrade.

Obama voted against raising the debt ceiling.

yes. there would have because the negative economic impact would have called into question our ability to meet our obligations.

Read the S&P report and recent statements: they continue to cite two primary reasons for the downgrade. First is the talk by Tea Party Republicans about how a default wouldn't be so bad. Second is the a concern that short-term spending cuts without stimulus would depress the economy.

You don't seem to want to accept the fact that instantly cutting 40% of federal spending will have large negative economic impacts.

And it all depends on what is cut..... If it's bullshit like what was on that list I posted nobody would even know or care.... (we weren't having any problems paying the bills with Bush's budget but we are with Obozos and we are spending 1.6 trillion more!!!!!! ROTFLMAO)......

But no, we can't cut that bullshit, gotta cut loans for college students, cut out money for retirees, Social security, Medicare..... etc ......etc...etc..... Things that piss people off and hurt them....... the poor are just pawns in this game, I wonder how they feel about constantly being used to push a bullshit Democrat political agenda.......

that list you posted wasn't 40% of federal spending in one year. You could end ALL discretionary spending immediately and it wouldn't be enough to balance the budget. You need to immediately cut over $1.2 trillion spending, and once the impact of such spending destroying the economy, you would likely have to cut another $800 billion to $1 trillion. After interest on the debt, that leaves about $600 billion for everything else.

What is the tea party planning on doing? Opening the borders, dismissing the military and emptying federal prisons? Ending Medicaid and social security immediately?

The basic fundamental flaw in tea party economics (if I can even call it that) is that they don't look at where actual federal spending is going.

They know where it's going, that list proves that most of it "IS" total bullshit.....

Let me guess you think giving money to ACORN to perpetrate voter fraud is a good cause????

tell me again where you are going to come up with $1.2 to $2 trillion in IMMEDIATE cuts (out of $3.4 trillion budget.

Your list added up to $2.5 trillion over 10 years, or $250 billion a year. Now what else do you advocate cutting right away?

that doesn't come anywhere close to adding up to another $1 - 1.5 trillion.

Try again.

Sorry, it doesn't. You don't seem to care much about facts. The Bush last budget, absent war spending, was $3.2 trillion. The most recent Obama budget proposal, inclusive of war spending, was $3.7 trillion.
