MSNBC’s Dylan Ratigan Has a Meltdown (Repubs/Dems-"Reckless, Irrisponsible and Stupid") Video

Visit msnbc.com for breaking news, world news, and news about the economy

MSNBC's Dylan Ratigan is mad as hell about the U.S. financial crisis--and he's not gonna take it anymore!

While convening a roundtable discussion on the market meltdown on his eponymous MSNBC show on Tuesday, Ratigan exploded.

"We've got a real problem!" an exasperated Ratigan shouted. "This is a mathematical fact! Tens of trillions of dollars are being extracted from the United States of America. Democrats aren't doing it, Republicans aren't doing it. An entire integrated system, financial system, trading system, taxing system, that was created by both parties over a period of two decades is at work on our entire country right now. And we're sitting here arguing about whether we should do the $4 trillion plan that kicks the can down the road for the president for 2017, or burn the place to the ground, both of which are reckless, irresponsible, and stupid."

"I'm sorry to lose my temper," he continued. "But, I tell you what, I've been coming on TV for three years doing this, and the fact of the matter is that there's a refusal on both the Democratic and the Republican side of the aisle to acknowledge the mathematical problem, which is that the United States of America is being extracted."

Later, on the show's website, Ratigan called it his "epic 'Network' moment."

The clip of the entire rant is worth watching, which you can (and should) do.

The Superman president concept. We don't have a superman in the WH. Kennedy and Reagan came closest to that.

We need a president with integrity and guts, who's just crazy enough to try fighting the establishment via a direct appeal to the people. Ron Paul has the integrity and is probably crazy enough, not sure if he has the guts. It also takes a special kind of ability, or stage presence, to get the people of the US on your side and keep them there during the tough transition to a Constitutional Republic. Reagan and Kennedy had it. Note that both were shot.

Such a president would be fighting the MSM and both parties. He'd have to have massive public support to pull it off. Tea Party+++

Plus he sounds like a wimp.

Based on your post, one of the problems with some folks is that you want spectacular presentation without understanding the contents of the message. It is difficult to manage the multivariate elements of requirements for America, however and to achieve perfect presentation while really directing a message is nearly impossible. And that is why America shall always be SOLD OUT.

Many people just want someone that is an actor; that is the problem with contemporary America's elected leaders: all white teeth and gift for gab and don't accomplish anything but muddle the nation.

I was speaking for "Everyman",

I don't think you can realistically say that you speak for Everyman. And, honestly, I wish you could that way I could get all my data based on your posts.

I like some of what Paul has to say...

Well, I like EVERYTHING he has to say. The torches of personal freedoms and liberty are reignited with Ron Paul this year.

Actually those torches he advocates for were and still are..figments. Selling points put in by the founders to win over a skeptical populace.

If you are not convinced about the absolute break-down of US governance within these contemporary trying times, where are you going? Both of these political parties have lied to us. And they are scrambling with some of the greatest REAL problems of the nation since WW2.

Ron Paul always stood clear and unequivocal throughout his 24 congressional background. Although I am paraphrasing his position, he has maintained quit the BS!

One of the big problems was when the political parties started listening to the, mainly, corporate lobbyists before they listened to the citizens. Maybe they thought a free market was one of those ideals mentioned in the constitution, yet I can only find tariffs, fees and taxes mentioned as far as trade is concerned.

Paul uses mainly unworkable, some can even say unhuman platitudes as his political positions. His worshiping of Ayn Rand says it all. Her characters are all idealized figments and the world she described as being possible was right out of Grimm's Fairytales.

Corporate entities have been in existence since 1793. They are protected as much as individuals by US law. So, I don't understand your complaint unless you are challenging the FACT that corporations pay taxes. Are you doing that?

Paul uses mainly unworkable [adjective without a noun, fatal error], some can even say unhuman platitudes as his political positions. His worshiping of Ayn Rand says it all. Her characters are all idealized figments and the world she described as being possible was right out of Grimm's Fairytales.

I think I understand your point. Please clarify so I can expand my opinion without going off on a wild-goose chase; I don't like to waste time.
