The real danger of an Obama presidency

By Neal Boortz

A listener reminded me about this quote that we had on Boortz.com some time ago. The origin of the quote is a bit sketchy .. it apparently first appeared in a Czech newspaper .. but regardless of who wrote or where it came from, its message rings true now, more than ever.

The danger to America is not Barack Obama but a citizenry capable of entrusting a man like him with the Presidency. It will be far easier to limit and undo the follies of an Obama presidency than to restore the necessary common sense and good judgment to a depraved electorate willing to have such a man for their president. The problem is much deeper and far more serious than Mr. Obama, who is a mere symptom of what ails America. Blaming the prince of the fools should not blind anyone to the vast confederacy of fools that made him their prince. The Republic can survive a Barack Obama, who is, after all, merely a fool. It is less likely to survive a multitude of fools such as those who made him their president.

What will it say of our Republic if we manage to re-elect Barack Obama in 2012? He fooled us once, but not to learn from our mistakes means that we are bound to repeat them. At this point, we can’t afford to repeat the mistake of sending a Marxist hack back to the White House. Sadly, the reason for our foolishness is not hard to pin-point. Every day, year after year, generation after generation, we entrust the government with the education of our children. Why would the institution of government ever teach its children anything but to know and love more government? It wouldn’t. Government, just like any human being, wants to thrive. It realizes that a means to its own survival is making people believe that they need it, and in fact, that they should WANT it to do more things for them. Making people dependent on government is the way in which government continues to thrive. Barack Obama is nothing but a symptom of an electorate that is suffering from governmentitus … a widely propagated disease whereby the victim loves government and will do anything, electing a president for example, to get more of it.

Unfortunately; YEP.

Spoiled, stupid and ignorant, brain dead phuckwads, libTURD fools, tools, and idiots, are the real sickness; the messiah "king" obammy and his regime are only the symptoms.

The reason that Obama won is that in the midst of a financial melt-down, McCain kept saying the economic "fundamentals" of the country were just fine.

Everyone knew that they weren't fine.

Big spending under Bush and McCain campaign screw ups are why we have Barack Obama.

We should never forget that.

I can't agree with you more. Of course, both A K A Stone and his palsy-walsy Moderator X voted for McCain.

The problem with both McCain/Palin is they are two Global Hawks still thinking that empire comes before our needs right here upon our doorsteps in America. And this is all we can muster to confront the ominous characteristics of socialism already prevalent in America.

Good post on your part.

That's certainly true about McCain. It's less clear about Palin.

Neo-con chicken hawks controlled the Bush administration. The GOP needs to jettison them.

I agree 100% with you. I used to think Palin was a fanatic, particularly because of her Israel badges. Anymore I like her style as long as she eliminates Israel from her political ideas.

Don't misunderstand my sentiment. Any candidate running for political office in the USA needs to address America FIRST! and not some other nation; she can believe all the stuff and give all her money away anywhere in the world on her own time, in other words.

You didn't vote against Obama.

Here are people I would like to be President.

Rand Paul Ron Paul Pat Buchanan Jim Demint Me

Those are the people who think most like me.

Voting for Mcasshole was a desperation vote because it was either him or Obama. That is reality.

I despise McCain. Perhaps I shouldn't have voted for him.

Let me add Bob Barr. He would probably be ok too.
