Jesus said that his "presence" was irrelevant to the law and the prophets such as they were. His presence, he said, was a fulfilment of both. BTW, Jews, used the laws in the Torah to guide them. Very few practiced a strict or literal adherence to them. They took the law and applied it to their circumstances. It's how law, especially common law, evolved.

It's called weather patterns that happen every 7-10 years or so. I lived in Texas for 12 years, we had 2 droughts and 2 rainy years in that period of time and the rest was normal........ Lakes would be down 50' one year because of no rain and be overfull 2 years later because of the rains...... nothing unusual whatsoever....
