MSNBC host Martin Bashir interviewed Stanton Peele, a psychologist and an "expert on addiction," this afternoon. Bashir urged Peele to psychologically evaluate supporters of the Tea Party. "It reminds us of addiction because addicts are seeking something that they can't have," Peele said. "They want a state of happiness or nirvana that can't be achieved except through an artificial substance and reminds us of the Norway situation, when people are thwarted at obtaining something they can't, have they often strike out and Norway is one kind of example to one kind of reaction to that kind of a frustration."
Bashir later asked: "So you're saying that they are delusional about the past and adamant about the future?"
"They are adamant about achieving something that's unachievable, which reminds us of a couple of things. It reminds us of delusion and psychosis," Peele responded.
The Teabaggers have been very successful in crashing the US Stock Market with their tactics, making sure everyone with an IRA or a 401k is a bit poorer today.
Thanks for nothing, baggers. I hope you like eating dog food.

LMAO!
Oh, geez - Only in the alcohol-soaked, drug-addled delusion minds of you leftist-0bamanoids is the Tea Party to blame for the gazillion dollar deficit and printing press ordered to run 24/7
WTF are you smoking, Skip? Good stuff, eh? The TP is trying like hell to S-T-O-P fedgov spending, but you socialists insist that EVERYTHING be FREE. What's THAT about, Homes??
It had some slight declines before the deal was signed. It started significantly sliding afterwards.
It's easier to find a baby pigeon than it is to find a trader who likes the Debt Ceiling agreement. The much derided deal effectively raises the amount the government is allowed to spend today in exchange for mythical cuts 10 years from now.

And this is sending a signal to all guilty parties involved that the process better not happen again.
You have obvious reading comprehension problems. Unless you mean that this phony deal that did nothing to lower debt better not happen again -- that the tea party better accomplish something next time by sticking to their guns.

Actually they preferred the businesslike process used during the many, many times that the ceilings were raised in the past, which affected the SMs very little.
