WASHINGTON — Democratic Rep. David Wu of Oregon has announced that he is resigning in the wake of allegations that he had a sexual encounter with an 18-year-old woman. Democratic leaders had called for a House Ethics investigation after the initial reports of the allegation. Wu had said that whatever occurred was consensual. Wu said Tuesday the well-being of his children should come first, so he will resign after Congress resolves the debate over the debt ceiling. Wu, 56, has won seven terms. In 2004, he won despite acknowledging a decades-old college incident in which he tried to force a former girlfriend to have sex. Voters said they disliked an opponent's attempt to use that against Wu as part of a political campaign.

What a wuss! A Republican in the same situation just would have taken a wide stance and toughed it out.
Why is he resigning? Slick Willy was rapist too and the Dims made him POTUS.
Kudos to Nancy Pelosi - as soon as this story broke she demanded an ethics investigation, putting pressure on Wu. Now when will the GOP take action against Vitter?

He resigned. Vitter is still a sitting Senator. Why do Republicans love those who use prostitues?

The House Ethics committee investigated Frank and only found him guilty of using his office to fix parking tickets and misrepresenting the accusers previous record, for which he was reprimanded by a vote of 408- 18. When did the Senate investigate/reprimand Vitter? Why do Republicans love those who use prostitutes?
